Stayed at this property for 3 days and trying to share a balanced review:
#Positives: Location: Conveniently situated near Baga Beach. But you will need to walk approximately a KM to reach the beach.
In-Room Dining: Good taste and reasonably priced food options.
Property Condition: New, spacious, and clean rooms.
#Negatives: Staff Professionalism: Staff appears naive and unprofessional, lacking trust in guests. Experience feels more like fake hospitality, with pressure to pay everything upfront. If there are foreign nationals staying at the property, the staff will treat you like 3rd class citizens. We had pool facing rooms wherein the pool beds in front of our rooms were removed and relocated somewhere else. When asked, the staff said that they are reserved by someone else. No one actually came to use them for more than 1 hour. Only towels were placed on them.
Breakfast Quality: Extremely limited options with average taste. For example: vegetarian options include only Pav Bhaji and Idli Sambhar, with minimal sides like hash browns and bread. It might differ on different days but pattern remains the same. No vegetarian choices available at the live counter, with only omelettes offered.
#Conclusion While the property has its strengths, particularly in location and room quality, the staff's professionalism and breakfast offerings leave much to be desired. Potential guests should weigh these factors when...
Read moreJust got back from an amazing getaway at this resort in Goa, and I had to share my experience! The location is absolutely perfect - situated right where the river meets Baga Beach, giving you the best of both worlds.
The food was excellent - honestly so much better quality than what you'll find at the touristy spots outside. I found myself looking forward to mealtimes, and the restaurant staff made it even more special. Huge shoutout to Munna, Sathyajeet, Nilam & Sandeep who went above and beyond with their service, and the chefs deserve all the praise for their incredible dishes.
The accommodations were top-notch. My room was one of the best I've stayed in, with a beautiful balcony that I couldn't get enough of. The pool area was fantastic too - perfect for those lazy afternoons when you want to relax without heading to the beach.
Speaking of the beach, step outside the resort and you're treated to a gorgeous view where you can easily spot Baga Beach. The whole Baga area is quite happening, with plenty to see and do if you want to venture out.
What really stood out was how well-maintained everything was.
The entire property was spotlessly clean and it's clear they pay attention to all the important details.
If you're looking for the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement in Goa, I guess you should...
Read moreRiver Deck Baga resort and Spa is located in Baga Goa. Baga beach is located at stones throw from this resort. The resort is fairly large. Except a good swimming pool and 2 restaurants and bar there are no other amenities for holidayers in this resort. As the name goes there doesn’t seem to be a SPA in the resort. Ideally the resort to make the holiday interesting and fun the resort should provide more amenities like health club, SPA, Indoor games like pool, table tennis etc which were missing. Also during the long holiday week the resort should organise some live programs like many other resorts do. The rooms were large with balconies for view of the pool side. The rooms were clean and with all basic amenities. The toilets were clean and of reasonable size with basic toiletries provided for. Wi-Fi was good with strong signal. The food and beverages were good. Quality of food was pretty good, however the menu should have more choices. For the size of the resort the restaurants seemed inadequate. Breakfast had decent spread throughout and was of high quality. Service time should improve. The staff at the front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were courteous and helpful. All in all...
