Sabina's Goa — Hotel in Goa

It is not possible for us to give six stars to this property, but if it were, we would most certainly give six stars to this beautiful Goan property, as properties THIS beautiful at this price point are becoming more and more rare. The proximity of this property within Muddavaddi to the business and banking areas in wider Saligão is just exceptional. Both HDFC and SBI banks are walking distance from this location. Additionally, the Saligão Panchayat and its small central plaza businesses are also located within walking distance. This means that the pharmacy, small item grocery, bakery, banking, snacks, food, auto/taxi and hot lunch are ALL within walking distance in the Saligão township without any need for ground transportation, if you happen to be without it. Igreja da Mãe de Deus in Muddavaddi is also located west of the central plaza for visitors who would like to attend mass.||||If you would like to rent a vehicle, Sabina's Guest House has a limited fleet of scooter rentals that are well maintained by an on-location staff. The popular destinations of Calangute and Baga Beach are 4 KMS west of Sabina's Guest House, so if you desire to be NEAR the heavy tourist district without being IN the heavy tourist district, this property is a beautiful location. However, please keep in mind that this is a GUEST HOUSE and not a HOTEL, which means that residential rules apply with respect to proper conduct and customs according to GOAN LOCAL STANDARDS. Returning to the room late at night is not an issue, but trying to bring a whole party meant for a restaurant or bar cannot be brought into the premises. 10 PM is the residential standard to enjoy time indoors without all of the extras that the tourist areas provide as tourist experiences require tourist money. Since this is a GUEST HOUSE, one should visit the property keeping in mind that it is a home that receives guests and not a typical corporate hotel.||||Hot water, wardrobe (cupboard), queen sized bed, balcony, internet access and a small refrigerator are all provided for a comfortable stay. The cleanliness is proper Goan standard with lack of cobwebs in the corners and no cockroaches or rats as you can sometimes find in other areas. Linens are changed upon request and the surrounding neighborhood is just beautiful! The family will even provide breakfast in the morning if you should decide that Café Bhonsle or The Caravela (Candolim) is just too far to travel for breakfast in the morning. There is also a taxi service provided and is best accessible by planning in advance to give the drivers enough time to prepare for your departure.||||We are hesitant to share our experience of this beautiful gem of hospitality in Goa because we want to keep it private and to ourselves, but in truth, this is just such a beautiful treasure of a place when we are all experiencing such deterioration of these lovely, traditional places that we should tell others to experience these things as they are becoming more rare. Sabina's Guest House is a place in which you can have a "workcation" and have the experience of being in a home versus being in a corporate hotel or luxury property. Had good time. I stayed here in the Christmas vacation. It was worth staying in Saligaon.

Location : If you want to stay in North goa and still want calm place, Saligaon is the right destination. This small town is nearly 11 km from Panjim. If you have ur own vehicle, i will suggest this part of city to stay and explore north goa. This is well accessible to major north goa attractions. Apart from Sabinas many other good options are available in this town.

Why Saligaon : Saligaon isn't just nearby town to Panjim, but it has its unique identification. If you are foodie you will find many good local eateries (not restaurants) nearby. I will highly recommend Flamingos, Saligaon Deck and Cornel. If you want to spend quality time with family go for Florentine where locals n natives spend quality time with their families. The church of this town is must visiting. The Tuesday market is a good initiative by locals where you can buy homemade and homegrown vegetables, vinegar n many more items.

About Sabinas : it's nice place just 20-30 meters from main road heading towards Calangute, Baga. Veg-nonveg restaurants and eateries are nearby. Ac worked well. Bed was comfortable. Hot water was available all the day. Hosts are good. Owner live on the ground floor of this building so the surrounding is very clean. Parking available. All the rooms have private balcony with chairs and teapoy. But view from the balcony is limited. Towels and bedsheets were hygienic and clean. Mattress provided. Room cleaning is a bit problem bcoz of fixed early morning timing. No breakfast, even for tea you have to tell the caretaker earlier.
