Xavier's Guest House — Hotel in Goa

Hi this is shilpitha.. i have booked this place based on lot of positive reviews regards the place and the host.. in reviews ppl mentioned that the host was very jovial and welcoming.. My experience after reaching there was very very bad the host wasn't welcoming he nd his wife are very serious/upto the point.. both are very commercial... The room looks nice to see but it's not as good as it looks.. we booked the super deluxe room which is highest price in ther listing.. Our check-in time was 12pm but we reached there at 8pm and we had booking for 3days.. after seeing the location we reached the host and asked if we can stay only for 2days instead of 3days he denied saying u can't tell 2days before u need to inform 5days before nd even if u won't stay u have to pay for 3days.. as we r tired we went back to room and slept hoping everything was clean.. we wr feeling echy whole night next day morning we woke up and found lot of ants in the bed nd in the room.. uploaded couple of pics u can see for urself. Next day morning we headed to the watersports we wr not in room full day..we came back nd he started asking for remaining 3kpayment.. with in 10-15 min he asked 3times for money "remaining 3k" by text by talk nd call nd his wife asked 2times before v reach our room nd give them money... Completely commercial... Even commercial hotels wait for check-out to ask the bill but ths PPL can't evn wait for 2nd day. Really very very unhappy... In room nd with the host John and his wife.. hope my experience help...

....it's good if you want to stay close to the beach, near 'Curlies' as it's just a 5 minute walk.Rooms are clean and big enough. Owner gives a fair price for scooter 300 rupees.That was the positive things... I moved after a day because WiFi is very very slow. Even I had airtel, almost never a service, so for that it's better to stay in Anjuna city. There are no hangers anywhere for towels. Mattress was not very comfy. Price is a bit high...1400 rupees,... I got a better place now with TV and a big fridge and WiFi station in the room for half the price. Anyway, most disturbing was the smell for me, as I am vegetarian. (Smell from the kitchen) And in the evening it is quite loud.Happy that I left,....But it's not a bad place. If u like a bit of party, than the sound of the bass , it's possibly ok. But it stopped around 11pm.|Another positive thing, it's next to the flea market,all in all , they are nice people (owners),....But what you get for your money is average :-) .....Yeah, maybe clean fridges...

Xavier's guest house should be your go to place if you want some serene time amidst a lush green set-up. A 5 minutes walk from Shiva's Valley and a 3 minutes walk to the sea-beach. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. John, the owner is indeed someone who you can rely on for any local information/help and a guide. You should certainly, certainly not miss the delicious food they prepare here and especially the pan-cake. There are enough options to alter and try most of the items over a stay of 2-3 days. The best part is this property is away from the hustle of the streets and also just a 5 minutes drive to a lot of eateries, market, cafes etc. Xavier's guest house surprisingly also provide free drinking water (not limited to a bottle per day) and you can just fill up your water bottle and go about it. The stay would also allow you to network with folks both from and outside of the country and...
