Backpackers Headquarter Manali — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

It's gonna be a bit lengthy 1, It was a workation wit d team...Like anybody I've been trying to connect with different properties through internet contacts..responses were not that great...then I connected wit Sachin (The Property owner) we spoke for about good 30 minutes...he completely understood our requirement was able to speak the corporate language, clearly knows d expectation of corporates who plans for a workation, after talking to Sachin I had few other properties as well to connect with but I didn't even feel like connecting with them (usually this is not my style would have a Plan B & C) as the conversation with Sachin was sooo satisfactory we locked it with Backpacker Headquarter.

My main 3 asks were safety for ladies, power back-up with good internet speed and clean rooms, I would like to give a rating of 10 star for this as my 3 asks had no issues at all during our stay, for the kind of budget stay we planned the kind of hospitality we received was equivalent to a 4 star property (not hyping to 5 or 7 star :) )...there are no phones in room (it's obvious it's not a hotel but hostel) but there comes our man and the one who was with us from the time of check-in till check out...Vipin!!!...you become a better person when you have the habit of learning from everyone...what I've learnt from Vipin is his patience level and calm & composed nature…no one can be a better host than a person who is a good listener and keeps his calm…he is the one and he was with us always and any request is handled through simple insta chat...he is super quick in response...and the third Musketeer I would like to mention is the hero "JON SNOW" Ishant (I call him Jon Snow) the cool guy who was responsible for the entertainment part…made sure we were able to have good time after working hours…tuk us to their Café for live Jam sessions…if not after workhours engagement factor like trekking, river walking, they had few more in the list to host but we couldn't make it (all with no extra cost...cafe food is extra though) we wudnt have had d memories 2 carry back!

Did we not have any challenges at all? Ofcourse we did...but nothing is intentional or money minded...more on the execution front or due to miscommunication...being a south Indian I cant think of a day moving without having rice...on the very first day rice was not cooked and the quality was not that great when we requested for rice at the last minute...we informed the same to Sachin from the next day it's taken care...

One of the reasons which made me to write this lengthy review is because of an incident which happened with the General store shop which is there around the corner of the street...I purchased stuffs there and did gpay it was in processing stage, just to make sure the shop keeper doesnt suffer i made one more payment through another upi account...i thot the first one wil get cancelled apparently both got paid...when I went and ask to repay the double amount that is paid...he deducted 20 rs and paid the balance...20 bucks is not a huge amount...in this materialistic world where they find ways to exploit the tourist in all possible ways...and the kind of hospitality we got from Backpackers Headquarters is commendable (every time i have reiterate it was a budget stay with food I wouldn’t value myself as a customer who paid a bomb for the stay)...these guys are not behind money ofcourse they make a deal and stick to the commitments and keep customer satisfaction as priority…not money To sum it up with a quantitative review… Accommodation – 5 / 5 (daily cleaning and mopping was done, never expected this from a budget stay) Food – 4/5 (only for that day 1 incident though it was due to miscommunication rating is a rating) they do make international cuisines…I had my first ever Israeli Breakfast at a damn cheap price 😊 Safety for girls – 10/5 (because all my team members especially ladies felt like home) Power backup and internet – 5 / 5 Hospitality – 5...

It's like writing a review for my own home. Need I say more? Location: River + valley view. You will hear the ceaseless river sound which will literally tranquillize you. The hostel is near the old Manali bridge. It's in a peaceful location but at the same time walking distance from the nearby market which you can explore. Hospitality: The hosts are wonderful, they work hard to carry off your requirements. They are super friendly and professional at the same time. Food: The quality of food is great. You can let them know your choice and it will be cooked. Interior: It's very neat and decorated, they have named the private rooms and dorms like, "Wolf of Wall Street", "The baker's street" and others. Which is catchy. YOU WILL GET FREE NETFLIX ALSO + Wifi of course. Prices: Very reasonable as per the location. Private rooms are a little expensive but the dorms are very reasonable. I stayed there for 15 days and trust me I did not want to leave. The bonfires, snowfall, river, music, food, sharabbeeyyy, and most importantly the people. For Instance, we had to leave in the middle of our trip urgently, the hosts quickly made necessary arrangments for us to reach our city quickly. They arranged our cab and took updates at regular intervals until we reached our home safely. It's not the walls that make a home beauteous, it's the people. I would highly recommend staying here. Yo'll have the time of your life. If you're travelling solo yo'll make new friends If yo'll travelling with friends, well.. yo'll make more friends. Lol NOTE: Stay, like it's your home, don't confuse it...
