It was in June 2013 that I contacted Rahul Ogra, the mountaineer who owns the company to explore the Himalayan region for landscape photography and some expedition. During the first drive from Manali to Leh and further I was convinced that I have found the right person to help me plan and achieve what I wanted to do in the Himalayan region. Between 2013 and 2023 I have done over 13 trips into the region with him or his team. Every one was meticulously planed by Rahul and executed and this include two long trips in Kashmir.

What impresses me is his commitment to safety of the fellow traveller(s), anticipation and choosing the right team on the ground to help him execute the plan. His honesty, impeccable English, Hindi and Kashmiri languages, knowledge about the local flora and fauna, deep insight into Buddhism and the knowledge of local customs makes him a wonderful “GUIDE” .

I had the pleasure of using Mystic Himalayan Trails for over 13 expeditions to Manali, Leh, Nubra Valley, Zanskar, Spiti, Hemis national park, Hanle and many more destinations in The Himalayas. I have participated in multiple expeditions with MHT, under the guidance of Rahul Ogra. I am a qualified wildlife conservationist and I respect the ethical principles of such expeditions, being mindful of the effects of our presence on the local communities and environments.

I also enjoy discovering the hidden gems and not the usual routes. Rahul's competence, knowledge and skills as a certified mountaineer are reliable and trustworthy.
