I went to Manali with my wife, my 2 years old daughter and my mother in law and we booked club mahindra resort for two nights from 23th Dec and 24th Dec'17. They told us that room charge is INR 5000 per day including breakfast and they also tried to convince me that they will charge INR 2750 per person on 24th Dec due to occasion of christmas day party if we attend and told party will start around 7pm and will be continued till 12 mid night. We said OK. On 24th we went to visit Solang valley at 10:30am. But due to heavy traffic jam we reached Solang valley ( 15km) around 2:30pm and started to return only after one hour but again due to heavy traffic jam we reached hotel at around 10:45pm. We were highly exhausted and irritated. In hotel, Party got over. Then we ordered for some dinner on paid basis. On the next day, 25th morning, we asked for bill and for check out. It was surprising for us that they included INR 9600 as party charges over and above room charges. Service charge was also included. We explained our situation for not attending the party and requested to remove party charges but her reception person tried to start force and threatened us that you will to pay the whole amount. We asked to talk resort manager but he was also so unmannered and also started misbehaving. We tried to settle down on 50% amount but they were rigid and threatened us not to go out and said to guard to lock the main gate. Then my wife started to call for police help, then they got down and settled down after paying two person's party charges. All staff was ediot except chef. Manager and reception person were so much unmannured. They do not know how to takcle customers and how to behave. They were behaving like Gundas. Overall it was a worst experience. I would suggest not to visit this type of worst hotel of club mahindra. The way to reach hotel in night is poor. No light arrangement although road near resort is very poor. No street light...
Read moreThis is Club Mahindra Manali Resort, It's a old property of club Mahindra and we felt the same during our stay. Infrastructure is old and looks like not properly maintained. Room had a good view of mountains from balcony. Hot Water Availability : 6 to 11 morning and evening. Service : Quick but plumbing problem was not resolved Food : 6/10 Check-In : Quick and luggage were brought in the room promptly. Check-Out : Smooth and Quick Manali Mall Road is around 10 kms from the resort Local Dance program was arranged in fun zone which was good to see and enjoyable. 2-3 KMS Road is very bumpy with lots of crater and road itself is very steep while heading towards resort, resort sign board might go unnoticed due to the positioning of the board and board print has faded.
My Experience : We had difficulty in locating the resort since no sign board around15 KMS range of resort. Room was clean, Washroom had multiple issues during our complete stay of 4 nights, It was stinking , Problems with flush , Water used to get clogged in washbasin, towels provided were murky .. I had informed to Member relations manager and he promised to look into it and possibly change the room but sadly things didn't happen. Food : Quality was compromised for few dishes which were ordered at room, called room service who replaced the dish without much fuss. Very unfortunate to say that we didn't had great experience of staying here. Indoor games equipments had worn out( ex. Faded carrom board , carrom coins, table tennis rackets rubber...
Read moreClub Mahindra Manali is located on a hillside, in Prini. A small resort with a garden full of lovely flowers when we visited in May.
From our room we could see snowcapped mountains.
The location is about 15 minutes drive from the Mall Road.
The three of us - my husband, son and me stayed in a studio apartment which was very comfortable.
We did take the fun dining package for dinner and breakfast and it worked out very well, they had Himachali theme followed by a Punjabi theme. The food was very good.
Chef Ritu took great care to ensure my son who has many allergies, could eat well.
Service in the Dining room as well as room service was prompt.
The resort also has a shop where you can buy Himachal shawls and fabrics.
I love the fact that we didn’t need to have bottled water as the resort provides drinking water in large flasks.
The Travel Desk arranged, on request, a car for us to visit the mall and go around Manali.
Like all Club Mahindra resorts, there were indoor games and my son and husband spent many enjoyable hours playing table tennis and pool.
The three nights we spent here went by really fast.
Note: This resort would be challenging for those with mobility issues as it is built across several levels. Starting with the stairs at the entrance.
The River Beas is not nearby nor are there shops or eating joints in easy walking distance.
Club Mahindra has an affiliate resort in Prini, White Meadows. We didn’t visit but heard it’s a...
