The rooms on ground floor are unclean. The bedding, linens, towels, rooms, floors everything is in unclean state. The heater they provided was not working. When asked for the heater they said they don't have it. Upon multiple requests for the heater, they provided one with a cross mark on it and the same wasn't working. We booked this hotel through a package and requested for a change in the room. We then shifted to second floors, wherein uncleanliness was still a part of the room. The floors were full of dust. Upon asking them for hot water to drink, they gave us a bottle of water which had some particles in it so we had to stay without drinking water for the entire night. As it was too cold and we went in the second week of Dec, we couldn't drink water from the packaged drinking water bottle that we got from the market.
Plus - Reachability to Kasol Market Staff is a moderately cooperative. Food was a punishment. Absolutely tasteless food.
Minus - Uncleanliness (in rooms, linens, etc. ) Nonavailability of kitchen creates a delay in getting your food which makes it cold and tasteless. Nonavailability of heaters during peak winters They charge you for the heaters that don't...
Read moreMy stay there was nothing short of a nightmare. The staff might be friendly, but that's the only good thing about this place.
Let's start with the room - a complete disaster! The almirah had no handles, making it a workout just to open it. And don't even get me started on the geyser; it might as well have been an ice dispenser because it didn't work at all. Oh, and forget about enjoying a nice meal at their restaurant because it doesn't exist! Instead, they send you off to some local dhaba for your meals. As if that's not bad enough, the bathroom was practically a spider sanctuary. I felt like I was an unwanted guest in their eight-legged world.
And if you're an art enthusiast, you'll love the cracks in the walls. It's like a modern art masterpiece, except it's not supposed to be there. Save your hard-earned money and sanity - steer clear of Hotel Vansh. It's a black hole for your cash and a breeding ground for disappointment.

Read moreThis is a conveniently located hotel in the heart of kasol. Do not expect luxuries but if for basic amenities, this is a good choice. ||We paid 1000 for a doubles on the first floor with an attached bath. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. There were towels and soap. Also, the room comes with a TV and a balcony with two chairs. There's no much of a view but that didn't bother us since we only used the room at night to sleep. ||It's a two minute walk to the kasol nature park and the market area. The Riverside is a 7 minute walk away. ||The reason I am giving this 4 instead of a 5 star is because the blankets did not have a cover, and that makes it a bit unhygienic since the blankets are certainly not being dry cleaned...
