Sita Cottage — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

The worst stay ever, turned out to be a nightmare for us actually. We were a group of 8 people who were on Ladakh expedition last month in June and on the way we stayed at this place for 2 nights. They dealt with us really bad. They denied providing any room service in the night even though their board outside read "24 hours room service available". On questioning they responded that 24 hours room service is not available for group bookings. We asked them to provide water in our rooms, since it was 11.30 pm they denied room service and they didn't even keep their gates open to collect water on our own. So we were supposed to stay thirsty without water, since it was a group booking for us! One of our group members shouted at a staff over phone since all of us needed water in our room and the gates to dining area was closed that night and the next day the owner fought with us badly and asked us to leave immediately. Not only this they even denied providing dinner in our rooms (ofcourse ours was a group booking) so we had to collect food from downstairs on our own on both the days (we were provided rooms on the 4th floor and this hotel doesn't have lifts). This hotel provides worst ever aloo paratha in breakfast, no aloo stuffing in the parathas (See the picture attached). If you can see in the pictures artached the hotel is not well maintained; the chairs are not clean, the rooms and walls were damp due to which they produced bad odour. I would never ever recommend anyone to stay at Sita Cottage, really...

I was staying in this Sita cottage hotel last 2nd of June to 4th June very bad experience. Room was so dirty around 1000 of house fly inside the room and bed sheet also so dirty and bathrooms are inappropriate way and one person bathing after that floors become like swimming pool and shower was not working and water supply system very bad. We were waiting for water more than 3 Hours. And hotels staff are unprofessional. Basically Mr manager Arun he is very bad and nonsense person. We booked extra bed also but they didn’t provide and at the night we asking for extra bed for sleeping firstly mr Arun no response and after that Mr Manager Arun denied we have no extra bed and he said to do adjustments. This type of ridiculous behaviour showing all the times.Because of this kind of people innocent tourists tapped in to their property and suffered a lot. Mr Arun he did not provide extra bed and he said he also charged. So I request to tourism Minister please cancel this hotel license. And please it’s my request to all tourists that please never ever come in to...

I stayed there from 28th December to 2nd Of January.First of all the hotel charged the 5500/- per night and Rupees 300 per day extra for the room heater.The rooms were stink. They are not clean. I requested a non smoking room and both rooms smelled like smoke and marijuana. Bathrooms were gross and bugs were everywhere! ! The door did not seem secure and was not evened out so bugs got in easily. The second room was full of gnats. The neighbours had called police to visit them 2 nights in a row because their Laptop and some cash were missing from their room.I am 100% sure the hotel staff were involved in this. Oh and let’s not forget about the prostitutes. The mildew smell and humidity in the air. The staff were very rude they are the reason for the poor hygiene of the rooms. Manger was very disrespectful towards us.He asked us do we need prostitue in our room , when we refused he started ignorant to us and didn’t even provide water in my room.I will not recommend this place unless this is a very last resort. I don’t even know how they got 3.8out...
