I recently stayed at Renaissance Ahmedabad for a couple of nights and the experience was absolutely satisfying & pleasant. I would like to highlight each any every department one by one. Reception and reservations: The first impression of the hotel. The staff at the reception give the guest a very warm welcome which actually eases off all the tiredness of the journey. Proper sanitization practices are followed. There are no welcome drinks and all that nonsense but the feeling that you get when you enter the hotel is very satisfying. There is a sizable and very elegantly designed lobby along with a small Café next to it. The lobby isn’t huge but elegant. I have always booked the hotel through their official Marriott website which guarantees you the lowest prices. And they actually do!!! Rooms: For all my three visits I had booked the Superior Guest room. The rooms are quite big as compared to the similar starred hotel rooms. The beds are as usual King sized. There is a nice small work desk provided which is very essential while you are on a business trip. A small sofa towards the window side completes the room. The room has all the required amenities like teas, coffees, refrigerator, TV with all the necessary channels (EPL lovers can watch their weekend matches), iron, ironing board, bathrobe & essential toiletries. Also during my last visit, my room had portable iHome alarm speaker which was an added benefit for soft evening time music and it showed time which is generally missing from hotel rooms. Food: The food here is top notch. I personally felt their a-la-carte menu is a bit limited maybe due to Covid-19 but their buffet is mind blowing. Breakfast had chicken sausages, live egg counter, herbed potatoes, beans, breads, fruits, tea, coffee, etc. Also in the vegetarian side the menu is quite good with Poha, Upma, local dishes like Khaman, Fafda- Jalebi etc. with a live Dosa counter. They always had tea cakes & muffins counter which helped me throughout the day when on site duty. And yes, now the super amazing dinner buffet, I would literally relish each and every dish served. From the soups, starters, main course to the deserts. You can order any type of Indian breads you prefer. They have different cuisines every day. I stayed for more than 15 days in the past two months and they always had something different every time. They also had lot of variety at the salads section. And the last thing to relish was the deserts. I, at times felt that their mini cakes were a bit dry but the other deserts over compensated that. The restaurant staff and the Chefs make the guests feel very comfortable and also if you have any special request they make sure that they make it happen. Housekeeping services: The rooms were always well kept and clean to the core. I did not find any cleanliness issues during my stay. The housekeeping staff was always quick and helpful whenever I needed anything extra. Ms. Manisha (during my 1st visit) and Mr. Vighnesh (during my 2nd and 3rd visit) took special care of my room and laundry. Special thanks to Mr. Ashu (from the restaurant staff) with whom I enjoyed a couple of Table tennis games. Mr. Pawan who took care of my corporate bookings. They also have full fledge gym and a nice infinity view pool at the terrace floor which I never used. :P Plus they have a very nice lawn where you can have a chill time or walk on the grass if it isn’t raining. Overall I had an extremely pleasant stay during my time at Ahmedabad. And will recommend it to everyone who visits Ahmedabad for business as well as...

Ahmedabad city has many of the luxury brands and Renaissance is one of them, a beautiful hotel on #SGHighway with well appointed rooms, all high end amenities in place, spacious room, separate bath n toilet ideal for two pax staying as when during rush hour both have to go out .. this saves a lot of time when both can utilize facilities simultaneously without wasting time 🙂. Loved the aura and ambience of room restaurants and lobby as lot of natural lights were possible due to glass windows all across...saving energy during day time.
A young n dynamic team under young Smart GM Vivek Sharma who have ensured a very warm welcome and attention to details with team looking after our stay in every way so we could have a proper property round and could relish our meals as well. Greeted by the team at the lobby with a refreshing welcome drink then escorted by them to the room and got our signatures n ID's in the room instead of making us stand at the reception and it was a great gesture as we have had a busy n a bit hectic 6 days trip so enjoyed the pampering.
As we came from a three hours drive from Bhavnagar and reached hotel at 4 PM so wanted to avoid lunch but were hungry so their cute cafe "Mill & Co" was ideal for a nice cheese toast, Vada pao sandwich and spiders with refreshing Caramel and Cherries flavored Iced Coffee and Cappuccino was also just perfect.
Awesome dinner started with spicy Tom yum soup and Thai glass noodle salad with crunchy celery - tanzy spicy again but loved it.
Steamed fish with lime and chillli was mindblowing, Crispy Prawn tempura stole my heart - tasty crunchy and presented nicely. In mains we had Schezwan rice noodles which was good Exotic Asian greens were not much to my personal liking. With nice mocktails Water Melon charger & kachhi kairi mojito both were mood lifters... just perfect blend of taste color and presentation.
Didnt go down for elaborate buffet Bfast and had pineapple apple carrot juice Small portion of upma and my favorite Pancakes...loved it all .
Great team, Great ambiance great food great hospitality... what else one needs in a luxurious living away...
