Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram Downtown — Hotel in Gurugram District

Recently I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott @ Gurugram Downtown and I wanted to take a special moment to give my gratitude to team who helped me make my stay so comfortable. I was there visiting my mother who was in ICU with a few touch and go. The team straight from check in till my departure were so amazing and genuine caring. I stopped by front desk early morning before going to the MAX Hospital. I met with the ever-gracious BHAVNA, who was also the Duty Manager. Bhavna was so prompt, efficient and understanding. Bhavna asked me the reason for my visit and I shared with her. I knew my room was not ready and to be honest all I was going to do was drop my bags and head to the hospital. I requested to store my bags. Bhavna directed me towards AFTAB. He was right there and came to me with my tags for the luggage. Then he actually asked if I would like them to be delivered to the room, when it becomes ready. That was such a brilliant idea because then I would not have to find it when I returned. SAKSHI, the GR Manager was also there to greet me and ask if I wanted a cup of tea. That was so touching.

Courtyard by Marriott @ Gurugram Downtown, please know that you have an amazing and very professional team at the Breakfast restaurant. I was there every morning as that was my ONLY sit-down meal. After that, I was running around all day between doctors, hospital room, pharmacy and everything in between. So when I say, I could sit and eat and gather myself, it was the best and quietest moment of my day. Every day to see the same and familiar faces and it seems they never go home. CHEF KISHORI and CHEF HIMANSHU were absolutely amazing. The food was so delicious and to the best quality. SERVER NILOY and DHERAJ were there every day, attending to every table, greeting guest and making sure everyone is taken care of. It was so refreshing to see them looking out for our needs so early in the morning. Your Juice corner is phenomenal. Bravo on that! I met have literally met Hostess NIKITA everyday of my 5 days of stay. She was always there to greet everyone and ensure we were seated comfortably.

When you have a team who loves what they do, it shows and it definitely showed on every team member.

At check out, I had called ahead of time to have my folio ready and VEERAIN and ROSHAN made sure it was. I of course was greeted by BHAVNA again at check out which made me smile as she was there at my check in and now when I was leaving.

It’s not just poor ! It the worst of kind when it comes to guest experience . I have been staying here for 2 weeks now , have never experienced any service bitter than what downtown Marriott could offer . 1) The breakfast spreads are same daily .. nothing new . If you expecting a cup of tea you would end waiting for an hour min for it to be served at ur table . They might be okay to let you go , however will ensure they take their own sweet time . Moral to learn - if you ordering for a fresh juice or anything that’s not there in their spread , min 45 mins will be your wait time .. sometimes they will even forget u placed an order 2) I had a terrible headache and had informed about my health condition to the hotel desk . Since I was having uneasy , I had requested dinning room to get me a lime water to my room .. I had to wait for 2 hours but it never came and slept off . This shows how concern are they about their guest 3) incident again , I requested for dinning plate . I had to make 4 calls to in room service and After every call , they kept on saying the person is on his way . They took good 1hour 15 mins to get me a plate ! I had dinner at 11.38pm .. after a hectic day at work .. this is worst could one get treated when u want to end your long day. 4) incident 4 - security guards will prefer to greet and treat you subject to their preferences . After raising multiple complaints to the desk , they kept assuring they would take care of this matter personally and would sort out the issue . That never happened . My experience went down each day . I actually starting ignoring later . I am going to ensure , I don’t return here again and not recommending this place , as they do-not maintain the brand of Marriott . I have travelled to multiple cities and countries and stayed at many properties for my work and leisure travel , never had this kind of bitter experience. They are just downgrading their brand value .

They do-not value their guest ! They will NOT take care of you . I found my experience quite disrespectful.
