4 Stars only for property location ... and view & calmness it offers in night ... |||| WORST in Ross common -||||1. is their deluxe room only 2 in numbers one in front side (small one ) in front of reception and other one ( large one ) in between porch connecting front and back side next to toilet which doesn't even have proper ventilation , fresh air ... also u can't keep wooden door open as hotel common toilet is adjacent to it ...so it's a smelly affair.||||2. Over costly Hotel menu ( Total avoid ) and food , milk etc especially if ur travelling with a toddler / infant ,however they cooperated to boil milk packets bought from market and I was lucky enough to get them boiled for my baby ... however other parents request to prepare some Maagi etc was turned down .....||I mean c'mon have some sense buddy u charge hefty amount for such bad quality non airy rooms and above then no cooperation .. typical Indian babus ...||||3. No DG set they provide torch light to each room . During our one night stay power supply tripped thrice and for quite some time ... beware of your any precious things carrying during those black outs.||Also watch out for kids they can get hurt.||||4.lots and lots of stray dogs in night inside premises , with power tripping frequently ur forced to stay in those non airy suffocating room .....so be careful with kids .||||5. Play area for kids : worst maintenance ||Only swing in main compound was in working state ... they have a small kids area few steps below main open terrace , have slides and Indian version of merry go round which were not working , sharp iron edges slides were made it vurnable ,merry go round balancing was not there , see saw required greasing .. so we avoided ||||DESPITES the all ODD we enjoyed our stay at Ross common mainly due to weather which turned out to be awesome in night , serenity , calmness , silence , moon light , cold breeze ,made us enjoy over stay completely ..||Room tips :- book upper category rooms , in deluxe ask for room in front in advance ...don't choose...

The hotel is situated good 700-800 mtrs from the Bus stand/parking. It is situated in the Lower Mall road. This acts as a disadvantage if you are walking alone from the upper mall or Bus stand towards the hotel after sunset. The road becomes totally empty and there are some patches where there's no street light too thus making it creepy to walk alone.This road only goes towards the Sunrise point & Manki point and it also has a shortcut to go to the upper Mall where Gilbert Trail and Sunset point are situated. The room I stayed in had 0 Internet connectivity.Onve inside the room I was cutoff from network as the phone network wasn't available too and Wifi also didn't reach. Biggest drawback of Room 1 is this. Food was good. Staff was very courteous and helpful. There is also a monkey menace in the garden. Room is spacious enough with hot and cold water. Working...
