Read this review before booking this hotel, you won’t regret latter.
Hotel Kasauli Resort is a standard run-of-the-mill three start hotel, and check few right boxes but a lot of things are missing/subpar and that can really spoil your holiday fun, i will start with positive,
1 Location of this hotel is central and near to mall, if you are here for very short stay and want to cover all points in a day you can think of this property.
2 View of the valley from this hotel is decent, picture attached,
3 The size of the room is big and has good space for kids. (We had 3 Suites, not sure of the regular room size)
Now coming to points this hotel/management serially need to work upon,
1 Food, this was one key primary concern for us, the first day we ordered Chinese and all nonveg dishes were extremely chewy, smelly and hard to eat, on discussing with their captain we were informed that hotel is ordering non-veg in bulk during peak season and using it for 5-6 days, so it becomes chewy, also the amount of oil used in preparing north Indian dishes is nothing less than criminal. (picture attached)
2 This resort is not wheelchair-friendly. The resort has a lot of stairs and the stairlift as mentioned by the hotel does not work and require regular maintenance that too from Delhi. We had called and discussed this aspect as one member was having knee pain, but the hotel mentioned they have a stairlift but did not inform us that it’s not working.
3 Room, some of the rooms are adjacent to drivers' urinal (we got one such room, SU-3 [Suite 3], picture attached), where hotel without informing us gave to some driver and stench from that urinal was unbearable in SU-3, so make sure to ask that you are not getting your room adjacent to a urinal.
(What makes things worse is the attitude of the hotel manager (Gurpreet), when informed to come and check, he refused and asked us to come to his cabin to discuss. Wonder how he is working in the hospitality sector.)
4 Unprofessional staff, on complaining why the room adjacent to our suite has been given to driver without informing us as we were leaving our kids unattended in that private lobby, reasoning from Mr. Gurpreet was that we are being oversensitive about the safety of our kids (unbelievable), and to make things worse the hotel staff went ahead and informed the driver and driver came to argue with us that why we have complained about him. (i really wonder what kind of professional grooming staff is getting).
So after these incidents, we decided not to further spoil our holidays and cut short our stay in Kasauli resort and glad we did that, as our experience in other place was multifold better than that we were having at this hotel in all aspects, …………views, value, food, hospitality….
Final words, if you have some pressing reasons from the positive points i mentioned, you can go ahead with the booking, otherwise, I will seriously advise to avoid this old jaded property run by unprofessional management and look for...
Read moreHad gone there for a 2 nights stay in December 2014 and was surprised to see the attention to detail in this majestically located resort. We had booked the super deluxe room and we're not disappointed with what was offered. The room was infact better than the pictures and well kept with neat and clean amenities. The heating column seemed insufficient considering the size of the room, but it did it's job. The view from the balcony was stupendous with the sunrise infront. The staff is really courteous and friendly. Ready to help the guests. We had done an online booking and found it really transparent. Mr. Rajesh had helped us with the booking, though we couldn't get a chance to meet him personally. Breakfast buffet was good and a little spread of coldcuts and sausages would have been great. Food was delicious but a little overpriced. The resort is located about 2 km before kasauli and everytime we entered kasauli we had to pay a toll which seemed only for commercial vehicles but we were not allowed to enter without paying. As far as the resort is concerned we were certainly very satisfied with the offerings. Only if they could arrange to clean the guest vehicles. Which I think can be done upon request, I just didn't request. We had a wonderful trip and will certainly recommend Kasauli Resort to our...
Read moreOur company had organised and offsite strategic meet and this was the place selected to stay at Kasauli. I am indeed amazed and overwhelmed to have got such an opportunity to explore this magnificent hotel and this hilly area. The location of this hotel is first of all perfect. The area seems to have an amazing mountain view. Clouds trave through the hotels only which makes it heavenly to watch. The look and feels and decor of this Hotel is marvelous. Me and one of my colleague was provided a 2BHK room which was huge. It had a kitchen a dining area 2 large bedrooms 2 large washrooms and and extra large balcony. Gas stoves fridge electric kettle was provided in the kitchen. Dining area had sofa chairs dining table television sets. Bedrooms had king sized bed lamps dressing table, large almirah and gigantic washroom. What else do you need to have a perfect stay. Rooms were air conditioned. We used the hotel conference rooms and pools for 2 days. The staff seems to be very well mannered and disciplined. This place is highly recommended to have a lovely stay in kasauli. Food of this place is also amazing. You have so many options to eat here. From breakfast to dinner everything has a buffet system. You will be...
