Hotel The Orion Jaipur — Hotel in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

Visited Jaipur last October with my family; It was our last destination on Rajasthan itinerary, so the expectations were high!||||It's a good hotel if you could ignore some of the finer aspects of hospitality...||||Confusing? Okay, lets drill down.||||Pros||- Decent location: 10 mins by cab from the station, in a reasonably posh neighborhood||- Nice rooms: Simple, bright, comfortable and hygienic||- Friendly people: Most staff members we met were good; The Lady managing the restaurant deserves special mention (Thank you madam for such warm reception)!||||Cons||- Complementary breakfast was either not ready or didn't offer variety, probably because there were not enough boarders!||- Room service could be improved for sure, we had to wait often very long even for water||- Tea/coffee maker supplies not replenished on time (another example of sloppy service)||||C'mon, don't want to sound nagging here but I tend to look at these finer aspects to assess service in general (I beleive we all have the right to do so as nothing is free, not even the complimentary stuff...)||||So, would I recommend Hotel The Orion at all? I would, yes, only if you're on a budget and persuasive enough to be able to get the staff deliver...

Gates were closed, called on hotel number, person picked up but i guess i wasn't audible to him so disconnected, waited him to call back but no body called back, 2nd time I called but same issue.. 3rd time I called then we could communicate, i asked him to send someone to open the gate.. when i came in , i went to see the room first. Till that time on mmt and goibibo the rate was showing 899 incl taxes. When i came back to reception after seeing the room , i said i will book from the app. And i found that now price has increased to 1250. I said it was 899 only 10 mins back. And pls give me either best price or atleast same price. It was already 12am that time when i was there.. he told me we can give for 1000 .. i asked him if you can give for 900 and i hardly will sleep and checkout in morning , not even staying for 12hrs, but he impolitely said i will give you for 1250 or you can see other hotels , you are free to go. His tone was very impolite. He could have been humble and respectful to me. I would have paid 1250 also but Anyways I left immidiately because of his behaviour. Cheap hotel but not good or best.

All pictures are not true for this hotel, people's post mixed photo of their visit which confused visitors.

We have booked online for 1 day stay Rs 2400 with breakfast and dinner but when we visit this hotel and decide to check room first, this is our great step before check-in .

Rooms are very small, no freshness in rooms, no ventilation, highly suffocating so we went again to reception for any other room with extra charges but they says all rooms are same then we came out of hotel 🏨 The Orion Jaipur. 👎

There is no parking for cars inside everyone has to put there car outside hotel at their own risk.

We book online with seeing all reviews and thinking it as great deal to save last minutes hochpouch but all gone waste......... ... This area "Bani Park" is full of hotels and it saves us from this hochpouch situation.......

Side by side one hotel "251 miles stone" is looking gud but no rooms available at that time. Then we move to best property by luck. ..and .. ....its "Anurag Villa".... Best of Best ..... we wish to go again in Anurag Villa

So.....save yourself from the Orion hotel don't go...
