Parasite alert
Not a hygienic place to eat, my wife and i went here to try local Rajasthani thali after reading reviews on map, when we ordered thali we were stoic about the quantity of food and thought that taste was also going to be good. As we are eating the food, the water they have served us had worms swimming in it. Not just one worm there were many little parasite like things. After that we lost appetite. Thank god only my wife drank that water. After that we straight went up to the chemist and asked for medicine. Even the food here is not that good also. We tried daal baati churma in udaipur and it was way more tasty. I thought of trying lal maas here but this event shook me to the bones. If they are not taking care of even water then you can think how hygienic practices they are going to follow while cooking the food.
Avoid this restaurant...
Read moreI would like to assign a rating of zero, but unfortunately, there is no such option. Let's delve into the experience. The predominant component in the meal was oil, overshadowing the other elements with a claim of being "Swaad anusaar" (according to taste - but there was no taste!). Astonishingly, a substantial portion of the thali was practically swimming in oil. The flavor was insipid and absurd. Despite ordering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, our New Year's dinner at a supposedly renowned restaurant turned out to be a disappointment.
The manager's audacity in refusing to acknowledge the subpar quality of the food was remarkable. No effort was made to address our concerns or offer a replacement. This establishment in Jaipur is undoubtedly the worst, and I have no intention...
Read moreThe food wasn't bad. I got the namesake laal maas, which I would expect to be delicious. The sauce was good, but the meat was a little chewy and fatty. Good portion size.
They could use some work on sanitary practices. The waiter dug his hand into a platter of mint things and stuck it in his mouth. Then right after he grabbed my naan with the same hand for unknown reasons when I asked for some rice. I couldn't eat the naan after that.
This seems to be a common practice in India, but everybody strongly insists on reviews right then and there. The manager basically hovered over me to make sure I started writing a review. I told him to back up and I'll write it on my own time. Well, here is your review: food is ok, needs work...
