Hotel New Mount View — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

Location view is very good.Services and amenities are pathetic.No electronic kettle available,No heaters available,No hot water does not come in taps even if they say, if you point out they have simple reason its cause of climate.Even you dont get drinking hot water in room, they will deliver but it would not be hot, if you complaint same reason cause of weather.Here weather is always cold and very cold so they should provide these facilites.No coffee and tea sachets also.Lavatory and toilet also was not clean when we checked in Dirty used drinking water glasses.For water bottle also we have to call up.Not even deserve to be a two star.Its like a lounge which you get outside railway stations difference is they are damn cheaper.You can hear next rooms voices also.Khuch puchu One more thing, the kitchen guys are friendly. For a budget hotel up in the mountains of Kashmir you are not gonna be disappointed — esp when you learn the other hotels in the area during peak season start at IRs 20000/night and past USD 600/night. Friendly (and hilarious) manager Jilani perches by the Bukhara and regales guests with tales. The staff (guys in their 20s) are courteous. And the location is central (but there’s no traffic/jeeps/beeps before 9am and after 7pm so nothing to worry about). No central heating but thick blankets that kept us warm enough. Bathroom is basic but that bucket hot water shower after the slopes is the best shower you’ll ever have. Food is decent too!

Don't go to the hotel.. it's one the worst hotel may be in Entire Kashmir Valley.. We reached there place around evening.. room very small with pathetic bathrooms. No ventilation in bathrooms.. always bad smell coming out from toilet.. Next day we have a plan to ride horses to visit entire valley.. The hotelier always around us .. He basically was a middle man..forcing us to take his choiceable horses. When we made our own arrangements. He called us on phone and said our check out time is over. Its 10 o clock then.
