Very hefty prices compared to the ambience and food quality served.

Lunch: we ordered 2 kababs, mushroom chicken, 4 parathas, 4 rotis. Kabab, mushroom chicken were too much dipped in masala, very much damn masala poured and too much oil, half 1/4 of the gravy was only oil, it is not healthy at all.

Dinner: by this time we were not able to have much because our stomach went upset because of too much oil and masala. We went there again, because only Bakshi was open at 9 pm. Since, we were not feeling like having anything, so we ordered 2 Veg Soups, 2 salad plates, 1 rice and mix veg for our friend. We specifically told him there was lot of oil and masala in lunch, please keep the both oil and spices to the minimum, to which he agreed, two of us had veg soup and salad, one of friend had mix veg and rice, but to our surprise, the vegetables still had a too much oil in it, we called him as told him we told you to not put oil in it, then he said it is because tadka baar baar lagta hai, isiliye hojata hai.

That's when I got that they make gravy in bulk and they put the same everywhere, rather than making different one for each dish, because they would have made the gravy in bulk with too much of oil and there is no way you replace it, next day we skipped Bakshi and went to ''Gareeb Nawaz restaurant', right adjacent to it, who followed the request of less spices totally.

Just for your knowledge, for 2 kababs, 1 chicken mushroom, 4 parathas, and 4 rotis we paid 980 rupees😭 and ended up having lot of issues.

For dinner we paid 850 for 2 salads, 2 soups, 1 rice and one veg gravy. So the strategy of this restaurant is to get the maximum share of your wallet, a dinner or lunch would at least be Rs 700-800 for 2 people which is very costly considering the ambience, taste, aftereffects of the food.

Would not recommend this restaurant, considering you will have lot of complications after having food here, if you want to enjoy a good food, and you are ready to spend 700-800 for one course meal for 2 people, you should consider the 3 star restaurants nearby.

Lastly, I have only given it 2 starts, only because waiter is too friendly and accepted his mistake, but he did not work on it, and it is just his strategy, would strongly not...

I was in Gulmarg On 15rh April. And the weather was very bad. And we could only do the 1st phase of the Gondola ride. I have my views on the "local" people and their rights....but I not going there now. Both my grandchildren got indisposed while they were enjoying the snow...and we had to bring them down a bit early. We were helped at the Bakshi restaurant by Mr Mushtaq. By his kindness, his favours and the food that he served that day. The least I can do is appreciate it here, thanks...
