Hotel Pushpa Residency — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

Bad experience with the owner of this hotel. Do not keep his words and asks for extra money. Hotel has van service which they offer to pick from station at no extra charge but when i asked about it from the owner i was denied. Even they denied to drop off to Banganga check post. After that later i asked for taxi to jammu tawi station from katra and owner asked for 1500 RS. Can you believe it. It's 1 hour drive and owner asked for such huge amount. They know how to make use of people helplessness. I agreed to pay 1500rs and they asked advance. I paid. Later after the drive driver asked extra 100rs saying toll charges. What the hell? why asked for 1500rs when toll charges are not included in that. Owner told to pay extra to driver also. Greedy people. most of the reviews are fake. Stay away from these kind of people who are using people's helplessness for fulfilling their greed in that holy place of Maa vaishno devi. Also the hotel rooms are just average. Flow of Water in washroom toilet is very low and they kept a bucket there. Stay away from Pushpa Residency and stay away from Greedy owner Surjeet Singh.

Update: Reply to owner after his response on original review. 1.) You called me blackmailer? I never blackmailed you or anything. At least before lying fear of mata rani. She knows everything. 2.) You have double bed room for 1300rs not triple bed. For triple bed, i paid you 1500rs. Again you lied. You just proved Surjeet singh that you are a lier. Why people like you are working at holy place like vaishno devi? You don't deserve to work there. Mata rani se daro bhaisahab jooth bolne se pehle. 3.) Yes, you did not promise free pickup and drop. i agree. but you gave that service to other guests for free and denied it to us. 4.) I had no problem paying 1500rs from katra to jammu but why you driver asked extra money when everything was pre decided. Toll charges were included in 1500rs and if they were not then you should have told about it in advance. You also accepted it that its drivers fault. 5.) I came to know about Pushpa Residency thru the You Tube Channel . I contacted the Owner Mr Surjeet Singh and told him that we are a group of 11 adults coming to Katra on 19th October evening and were going back on 20th night to Delhi. We were all from Karnataka State. I immediately got connected with a man who seemed very humble and very cooperative. He took a very nominal amount as Advance booking for rooms. Before we arrived at the hotel, the room was kept fresh, Geyser Switch was on so that we could take shower and freshen up. It was very thoughtful of him. We had ordered for Dinner and after having it we were very happy since the food was so good like home made. We all relished it.

We started for Vaisnodevi Yatra that night itself and returned the next day afternoon. We again had a sumptuous meal and rested for a few hours.

Before leaving for Delhi we were again served with tasty food. We were dropped at the Railway Station safely inspite of the heavy downpour that night.

I strongly recommend Puspha Residency for the following reasons

The rooms are very clean and tidy. There is hot water supply all 24/7. The food was excellent and homely. The service staff were quick and prompt. Mr Surjit Singh took great care of us. The Hotel is in a very peaceful area. The Hotel is quite near to Yatra Parchi Counter and they have their own vehicle to drop and pick us up.

I would strongly recommend this Hotel at Katra. I am sure I shall certainly stay at this place next time also. I have given 5 stars out of 5 only because of the factors mentioned above. I will all the best to Mr Surjit Singh...

We booked the hotel after reading good reviews about its service and Mr. Surjeet and we experienced this as well. We reached in the afternoon and though at a first glance you can feel where it is, but trust me, location is not that bad. the main chowk is hardly 8 min walking and Surjeet always makes sure you go and come back safely.||||Clean & neat room, spacious bathroom, they even offer terrace for drying your clothes( knowing my maa, I know she would have loved it). In house kitchen offers good delicious food, so you don't need to go out after tiring yatra||||The staff greets you with smiles and Jai Mata di, which makes you feel good. My mom even gifted her Kangan to one lady staff cause of her service. Price- very reasonable. ||||Need any Info/Help, call Surjeet and he is there for you. We need to support local business amid covid.||||One incident I want to mention: as Prepaid cellular service doesn't work in Jammu, so many of grp member reached at a different time at the hotel after Yatra and we were worried about few members, so I kept calling Surjeet to check on them whether they reached or not, and Surjeet made sure he informs me instantly if somebody reaches the hotel. (those were old folks, and took ponies, battery car and we were on feet if at all you have any doubt why we were not with them).||||they do offer pickup and drop from Katra Railway st.
