Hotel shanti Residency — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The cleanliness of the room was far below acceptable standards — the bedsheets and blankets were dirty, and the room was not cleaned properly even once during my stay. The television was not functioning, and the condition of the washroom was very poor. The toilet was unhygienic, and the geyser was not working, making it difficult to bathe in cold water. Additionally, the quality of food served was extremely poor, and there was a complete lack of attention to basic hospitality and guest comfort. Hotel Shanti Residency is a perfect place to stay in Katra, especially for Vaishno Devi pilgrims. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Staff was polite and very helpful. The best part is they also provide cab services for transfers from the bus stand, railway station, and even up to the Mata Vaishno Devi base camp. Location is close to the yatra registration counter and the main market. Great experience overall — peaceful atmosphere and full value for money! Highly recommend...

Dirty linen, turned bedsheets, hair stands all over, dust everywhere from reception sofa to rooms and floors. Staff is pathetic, food and services are pathetic. Not worth being called a hotel.
