Stayed here for 3 nights in room Sahasrara.

I arrived mid afternoon. The hotel was not hard to find, but difficult to work out how to enter. Eventually, I just unlocked the gate myself and entered to find that there was no staff on reception. It took about a minute of calling out before one of the staff made an appearance. After that check in was straightforward.

The room I got was a 4 bed dorm with 2 metal frame bunk beds, a kitchen which was not usable, an ensuite bathroom and a fan. The bathroom is basic, but is clean, functional with a shower and sink. There was no problem getting hot water any time of the day as the bathroom had its own separate hot water heater. The bathroom had no tissue paper, but had a geyser which was fine. When in Rome and all that. The room was on the second floor of the building accessible via a steep flight of stairs and there's no lift. Not a problem for me, but would be for anyone with mobility issues. There are rooms on the ground floor though. All the windows in the room had mosquito screen and I never once got bitten in the dorm which is impressive.

The bunk bed cam with its own power socket and a personal light. Although the personal light on my bunk was actually broken. The mattress on the bed not typical Indian/Asian style. It was a soft, spring mattress that sagged the middle and pretty uncomfortable to sleep on as I could feel the springs.

The WiFi works well except in the Sahasrara dorm itself. The signal in the room is too weak for a smartphone, although it's good enough for a laptop. The WiFi is accessible from the common area on the second floor or the rest of the hotel.

Location wise, the hotel is about 25 minutes walk from Mysore junction railway station. Although the local buses are available from the railway station and stop about 5 minutes walk to the hotel. The hotel is also located in an upmarket area of Mysore and there's lots of western style food outlets, several of them a minute from the hotel and many more 15 minutes walk away.

Overall, I had a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Zostel. The staff were great, the hostel is nice and comfortable with lots of common areas. The only reason for 4 stars is the mattress, which was a major issue for me and the Wifi signal, which was more of a minor...

Discover a World of Adventure and Connectivity at Zostel Mysuru!

Greetings, fellow travelers! If you're seeking a budget-friendly gem in the heart of Mysuru, Zostel Mysuru is the place to be. Imagine finding an affordable haven that doesn't compromise on location and social experience. Yes, that's right, Zostel Mysuru!

Tucked amidst the vibrant city, the location is undeniably perfect. It's as if all of Mysuru is at your doorstep, ready to be explored. Whether you want to immerse yourself in the local culture or simply enjoy the city's hustle and bustle, you're in the right place!

What sets Zostel Mysuru apart is the community it fosters. This is where globetrotters meet, connect, and share stories. It's not just about having a place to sleep, it's about meeting like-minded travelers, exchanging tales from different corners of the world, and maybe even forming lifelong friendships. If you're a solo traveler, fear not! You're sure to find a buddy or two to share in your adventures here.

However, it's not all sunshine and roses. As a seasoned traveler, I value comfort as much as I value adventure, and sadly, the beds at Zostel Mysuru left me a bit sore. While we're on the topic of comfort, it's also worth mentioning that the washrooms could use a bit more attention. Cleanliness is paramount, and I believe Zostel Mysuru could do better in this regard.

In a nutshell, Zostel Mysuru is a fantastic place for budget-conscious travelers seeking a central location and a vibrant community. It's a place where travel stories intertwine, and where you're guaranteed to find a memorable adventure. Just remember to pack a comfy pillow and perhaps some cleaning wipes!

Safe travels, everyone, and see you at...

Locating Zostel is a piece of cake, as it is less than three and five kilometers away from the railway station and the bus stand accordingly. The locality is very safe with just about all types of eateries around it. The rooms are named according the Ashtanga yoga chakras, very thought provoking. The people who run the zostel are very fun loving and vibrant hosts, with just about every pinch of flavours of hospitality in them. For exploring the city, they are a good bunch of people to guide and also take you around on request, when on enquiring you may find out the local way of enjoying the season. Such as driving/riding up the Chamundi hill late evening and having the hot hot bajjis and going to the best eat out spaces in Mysore. This place makes sure you forget your phone and relax with the awesome view of garden and terrace settings. The colourfulness of the interiors make you very active which in turn gives way for the child in you to jump at the board games present at the living room space. Their chef has a good understanding of taste and presentation which makes you want to eat their more! The menu is very proffesional and you might want to try out their qwerky beverages. Other than this, there are two cute kittens( now) who are very entertaining to watch which make you forget your worrries for the day, that is if the place let’s you have any. Last but not least the house has three coconut trees growing through them, which was the main attraction for me. If you are a solo female traveller like me, you are sure to find good company here and make your...

Amongst my all of the stays so far in zostel, i found Mysuru zostel is the top one Because of these Reasons- 1- The owners- They will make you feel that you are living with your Family, they will keep on offering you the delicious cuisine sometimes, will talk you will listen to your journey and Because of these reasons only the others near around you also feels safe and will talk to you and you will not Realize that how you have made new friends and family. 2- The Travellers stays here comes from across all over the world so you can easily learn the different cultures and the same will make you feel that even if are staying in mysuru but you are traveling with them. 3- i haven't found at any other stays other than zostel mysuru that people are staying here from Years not only one or two but many as i saw peoples were living there from 14 months 7 months and 3 months etc which gives respect to the place the respect towards the security the respect towards healthy family environment. So i wil say you must stay in zostel mysuru atleast once in your life. All those who says they haven't experienced the hostel in their life, come on!! And live here you won't regret it. Also ignore all the negative comments who others have written i checked in comments people raising issue towards noise of bunker and washroom cleanliness...are you serious? that after just paying 700-800rs you need things like five stars..They gives you place its your responsibility to make it home. This is zostel mysuru .....this is feelings ....this is memories not just the stay.

I had a very good experience staying in Zostel . Point to mention here ,this is the very first time me and my partner were trying hostels to stay. Although ,being a first timer we prefer private room and the view from window is breathtaking and also the facilities and room and washroom everything is awesome . What I like most that ,in order to preserve greenery they have not cut the tree and it is coming from centre of the room . 🥰🥰🥰 it's super cheap , you can book a room with a token amount of minimum value and pay when received . As we were not staying in dorms ,so I cannot describe much about it . What I like most is :👍👍👍 - nice ambeince with decorative garden. - in common room ,foosball is there - creativity is every walls and paintings - interesting areas for seating - super budget friendly - meet new people and interact with them . - ohh , staff is also friendly , especially Amit 🤟🤟 very humble - free WiFi and parking - free kitchen , if you know cooking - easily reachable from any point of city . What bothers me : 🤕👎👎👎 Only the kitchen , I think ,being a hygeine freak I am saying it . I personally don't like cooking there and people don't wash utensils even if they are using it.
