A hangout spot for all generations. Not a big cafe. A small & simple tea shop. But, the vibe here is different. There is variety here compared to other tea shops. Apart from regular tea, you can enjoy various flavored teas like Masala Chai, Kulhad Chai, Amrutyulya Chai & Snacks like sandwiches, cookies, maggi, noodles. A huge coconut tree stands in the middle of the tea shop. The shop was built without cutting it. Nature friendly shop.
There are several small pink sticky notes on the wall to the left of this shop. These are written & pasted by their customers about the tea taste & their personal experience here. Good fun to read those. 'She fell here', 'Many problems, one solution Mumbai Chai'. There are many such notes. On the right wall many humorous pictures of Mumbai's everyday scenes such as a tea stall on a bicycle, a double-decker bus, the Shivaji Railway Terminal, old Ambassador taxi, etc were drawn.
There are many tea stalls in the alleys of Mysore. Yet there are reasons why many come here. Mainly the behavior of the staff here. Customers are treated with love & friendliness. Even if someone comes here for the first time, they will attend & talk as they are very familiar. They serve without much delay. Another thing is that tea is cheap. Like 10 or 15 rupees.
This shop is located on Valmiki Road which connects to KRS Road, Mysore. There are huge trees on both sides of this road. It's always cold here. Even though it's a summer afternoon. One can enjoy delicious tea in the beautiful cool scenery. A unique experience.
This is one of my favorite places in Mysore. Mumbai Chai is a treasure that we...

The individual who handles the early morning shift is consistently rude and shows an unnecessary amount of attitude. It’s disappointing to see that not all customers are treated equally; I’ve noticed the difference in behavior depending on the person being served.
As someone who values respect and good service, I believe this kind of attitude negatively impacts the overall experience. I strongly suggest management addresses this issue by providing customer service training to ensure that all patrons are treated with the same level of respect and courtesy. A great chai deserves...
Read moreI’ve been here a couple of times and tried a few things: Vada Pav, Mumbai Veg Sandwich, Veg Maggi, and their Mango Milkshake. Vada Pav – Really tasty but way too spicy for me. I’d rate it 6/10. Veg Maggi – Overloaded with masala and unnecessarily spicy, which ruined the flavor. 2/10. Mumbai Sandwich – Tasted okay, though it felt a bit heavy and junky. 7/10. Mango Milkshake – Absolutely amazing! 10/10 – thick, refreshing, and full of mango flavor.
This is a proper snack joint – a great spot to come with friends, try a few things, and just chill out. Very affordable, lots of variety, and the food overall is decent...
