Roopa Elite — Hotel in Karnataka

Roopa Elite in Mysore is an excellent stay for the Tourists travelling there. The location of this place is very strategic and is in a very good locality - with Rail station, Mysore Palace and many other notable places within a distance of only 4 to 5 KMs. Also if you want to get an auto or bus, you can have it just by walking out of the hotel. There are lots of good shops, malls around within 500-600 metres. We stayed here in a Family room which is very spacious and also is fitted with one extra bed. There is a private balcony too in the room. The service of the hotel is unparalleled - from room service to asking for some additional things like one extra blanket, pillow, etc - they hardly took more than 5 minutes to serve this. The check-in and check-out process is smooth - even they allowed us a room even one hour before their published check-in time. Next comes food - you will have lots of options starting from breakfast, to lunch and dinner. The food is very delicious and sufficient quantity wise and affordable price wise. Their roof top dinning place is beautiful and have a peaceful and great ambience. We loved it thoroughly. During breakfast, we met Lakhikanta who was taking care of the Breakfast of the guests. And he was trying to take care of each of the guests individually with his team - and he and his whole team is just fabulous, doing an excellent job. That's how, we also got to know that he is from Bengal. All the stuffs are very polite, cooperative - helping us to feel at-home. I had to face one of the worst experience with the hotel staff. I had finalized a Suite room with the hotel staff for 3 adults. While i was checking in, as their swiping machine was not working and they wanted me to pay, i had stepped out to withdraw cash from nearby ATM. Mean while hotel staff moved my luggage and family to a different Standard room and they were asked to stay in that room. On my return i was told that as i had not informed them about my 7 year kid earlier and i was trying to hide it from them, they will not give the Suite room (as they have allocated it to another single person & his room was given to us) and for the same price they asked to stay in the Normal room. They asked me to pay the same amount for the normal room and did not agree for reducing the price. Not only did they move my family to a different room during my absence, they did not mind loosing a customer for Rs 200.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and they cheat people by telling us that normal rooms are booked and only suite rooms are available. When we check in the hotel, normal rooms are available.

They are not at all bothered about customer satisfaction and would want to make money.

They moved my family and luggage to a different room in my absence and did not mind, me moving out of the room and were not ready to reduce the price by Rs 200.

I got a much better hotel (Fortune JP Palace) for lesser price, compared to Roopa Elite and it was a much better Hotel. My 7 year Kid was provided complimentary stay as well.
