Had the most pleasant experience at Punnamadakara Lake Shore Villas. It's right on the edge of Punnamada lake which leads to the big vembanaad lake.
Reached Alleppey station at 5.30 in the morning on a sort of rainy day and called Dixon, our host. Prompt response and a quick direction to the Auto driver. It was drizzling and due to rains there was a power outage. The dark roads were lit only by the Autos headlights which reflected off the cats eye safety marking on the roads .🛺 A few turns and curves later all along a canal in 10 mins we were at the Villa.
Dixon was ready there early morning to receive us.A pleasant smiling bespectacled face🤓. Our room was in the 1st floor. Spacious clean , a bed which could easily sleep 3 adults. The necessary coffee and tea bags neatly arranged near the electric kettle. The Bathroom (the one which all of us check upon entering 😁) was well maintained. We were a family of 4. Myself, wife daughter and mother in law.
Breakfast was served at 8.30 am sharp. The chechi there prepared dosas and sambar chutney. We wanted the Kerala puttu kadala which was served the next day. On the 2 days we stayed there Dixon took us for walks around the nearby lanes explaining the area. As we wanted to visit Fort Kochi on the first day, Dixon arranged the vehicle. The second day was our Boathouse day after puttu kadala breakfast. A memorable cruise on a 2 bedroom boathouse across vembanaad lake and a night halt at Pallathuruthy Backwaters.
3rd day we were back at the Lake Shore Villas after breakfast on the boathouse cruise. Dixon arranged an auto to take us to the beach, lighthouse and other activities, purchase spree of your choice.
Evening we were dropped off at the station by our friendly Auto person Rajesh/ Mithunan.
On the whole a pleasant relaxing stay. To Summarise... You reach Punnamadakara Lake Shore Villas and after that just ask Dixon. The always available and helpful guide who will make your stay memorable. Thank you Dixon...

I sent an email , immediatly I got response from Dixon and he arranged for House Boat also. the Villa is very neat and compact . Though the approch road is very narrow and not so comfortable) finally you will end up in a very nice place for viewing also. You will start enjoying it the more time you stay .Dixon follow up was very good and very personalised serive (you will feel like your are staying in your relativs's place) , the food (Good Vegetarian) and services during the saty was very good. Dixon arranged good auto for temple visits like Mullakal Bhagavathy & Ambalapuzha Krishnan. Regarding House Boat , Though it may be a little old Boat, the trip was fantastic because of the Crew , the Captian (very nice and Courteous) and the Cook (Excellent Vegetarian Food) the night stay in Boat (even though it was a remote place surrounded by water) is worth and terrific experiance) Certainly I will visit again (May be I will ask for a better new boat) to this place. Thanks to Dixon We a family of four really...

The rooms are clean and well maintained You will see multiple shikaras and houseboats passing by through the day.
The highlight of my stay was all the assistance and guidance I received from their villa manager Mr. Dickson. His hospitality was simply amazing. He made sure we had a very comfortable stay at the villas. Thank you Dickson. We appreciate all your help and kindness. Thank you for making our stay in Allepey the...
