I should say this is the best restaurant in Alappuzha in terms of location, ambience, food, quality of ingredients plus they have a wonderful sweet well groom team. Have been there many time. I prefer their A la carte than their buffet. Buffet if mostly the traditional spread and being from kerala that doesn't excite me much. Also they do arrange customised candle light dinner which is really good. The best is staff behaviour and welcoming nature even when you are not a in-house guest, which I found is different from even many other places coz most of them prefer their restaurants exclusive for in-house guest esp during holidays. We were here for lunch. And we ordered sea food chowder soup, 4 karimeen pollichathu, a biriyani, fish masala and a chicken roast. I guess they had to go hunting for the smallest available karimeen to serve us. The seafood chowder was okay had just coconut milk, some herb and bits of shrimps and lots of water. Most unfortunate day. Happened to be here for lunch. Buffet only available but with very poor choices. The meal you may get in fine restaurant for Rs.500/- is charged Rs.1,250/- We have ordered for 3 karimeen pollichathu as extra. Received the dish after around 30 minutes which should be fine if the dish was good. We asked for medium size fish, they decided to serve two small fish per plate.
