I stayed here on 26-Dec-2023, the rooms were clean and well maintained. I booked the room with breakfast. While booking I asked if they have in house restaurant and I added breakfast in the expectation that the buffet breakfast would be arranged. But to my shock after reaching there when I asked where the restaurant is they said I have to go to the restaurant "Ananda Bhavan" which is in next building, so I thought it might be their own restaurant. Next day morning for the breakfast, the staff insisted on getting the food packed and delivered to my room itself, which I didnt like. I said thats ok, next building only I can go I said. Here is the main reason why I have to give 1 star, I went and took a table, gave them my room number and I was waiting, nobody even cared to take the order, then I called a staff to order food, then they said they have closed and no service, time was 7:45 AM. There were other tables where they were serving but they simply dont want to serve us, then I spoke to the manager and he was acting busy talking to other staff and said that table has no service and other tables are full so its closed he said. Great. I went back to Vythiri inn reception and informed on what has happened. But he said he would go and talk, but noone would again go to that restaurant for food again who doesnt want to serve, I said I dont want to eat there anymore, checked out and left. It was good decision that even though I had 2 days of booking checked out in 1 day itself. Definitely it wouldn't be their own restaurant, if so Anand Bhavan would have not treated their guests this way. In that case not sure why Vythiri Inn wants to say some false things and book the room with breakfast. Vythiri Inn - Without any plans on how you are going to serve food to the guests pls dont include food choices to guests, without restaurant, why on the phone you told that restaurant is there, though the rooms and service within Vythiri Inn is good, this one insult from the Ananda Bhavan ruins your reputation as well as our holiday mood, guests visiting there are not left at your mercy for food, so you can give them packed foods when needed.
