Fraud alert!!!

We went to this restaurant for dinner, and the waiter had no clue about the menu, even admitting he was new and didn’t know anything. We ordered paneer 65 (listed as 160rs) and mushroom manchurian (listed as 180rs). The waiter asked if we wanted full or half portions, which wasn’t even an option on the menu. Sensing something fishy, we showed him the menu prices and asked for the listed quantities.

After eating half our food, the owner and waiter came over, claiming the paneer was a full portion, four times the menu price. When we objected, a group of staff and locals started arguing with us and didn’t let us finish our meal.

As tourists, we felt threatened when they talked about calling the police and threatened us that they will make us suffer and not go out of kerela with false allegations with localites suport for so called WITNESS . We ended up paying 1110 rs for paneer 65, mushroom manchurian, and two fried rice dishes we didn’t even eat as they all together gathered us and harassed us . You can clearly see in the above uploaded bill that he has charged us 650rs for 1 plate of paneer 65.

Beware of the misleading reviews and avoid getting scammed by these...

We arrived with my family here at around 2, it was packed which is expected but then the waiters didn’t take effort to acknowledge us or to help us find seating. Even if they had told that we’d have to wait because it is full, that’s sooo much better than what we got. Another family came in and they got the same treatment. There were multiple tables were a single person was sitting on a family table while there were more appropriate smaller tables, though they had no chairs. We got a table and also observed that they didn’t really clean the table but only swiped the food off the table. Then the waiter took 10-15 mins to get to us, she was nice. She took our order and then we had to wait 25-30 mins just to get parota’s which were heated (and were warm) and garlic chicken and chicken noodles. Honestly the food was pretty good, especially considering all the other things, we wanted to order more but we knew it wouldn’t come anytime soon. Overly rated/hyped restaurant. Went for dinner looking at the reviews. Cost might be less but food quality is lesser. The butter chicken masala we ordered had chicken marinated for some kebab’s or chilli chicken. I have never seen flour coated chicken pieces in butter chicken masala. Also boned pieces had very less meat. Tomatoes used were obviously of low quality. Gravy provided in a quarter portion is adequate for 2 adults but the quality has to be improved. Overall restaurant cleanliness also needs improvement - found a dead mosquito in the water jug provided to us (not sure whether it flew in after placing it on the table, saw it only after we finished our meal), the glass stand had dust accumulated showing signs of poor cleanliness. The lady staff present was courteous and service was fast. Ample parking space and special family section available. Wash area need to be cleaned more frequently. Didn’t use toilet, so...
