Owl's Nest Homestay — Hotel in Kolkata

We stayed at the Owls nest for 2 nights. Soham and his family were wonderfull hosts and made us feel so welcome. The Owls nest is a lovely cosy place to stay with everything you need including a beautiful balcony were you can take shade or sun and see the streets and park below. We also had beautiful birds coming to visit. We did the magic hour tour where we got to see the gems of Kolkatta that you would never find without Soham including to name a few, the history of the town, the buildings, the flower market, and even where man made gods are created. We went in an old ambassador taxi, tuk tuk and a ferry and finished with a traditional tasty breakfast. This is a nice early start tour so we could see everything before it got too hot. Soham also helped us to do some other things we wanted while we stayed and arranged taxis and gave us so much advise. I cannot recommend Soham as a tour guide enough. I understood his English really well as I struggle sometimes...

Soham is super helpful and ethical person, he did'nt let an unvaccinated person to stay for safety of mine even thought it was loss for him in monetary terms

If you are thinking images are same as the place let me tell you its better

Room is small but all amenities is there and beautifully decorated

Everything was perfect, maindoor lock has wifi- so you can enter and exit anytime

In your intenairy of visiting the kolkata , staying at owl nest should be one of the must haves

Not just that location is pretty good too, near to most of the places in kolkata

You can easily get cabs and auto

Iceing on cake - there is a big playground just opposite to the building !!

It was a great experience staying at Owl's Nest Homestay. From the time of enquiry, booking the room all the way to check out. We had a late check out due to our flight timings and they were kind enough to extend our check-out ,that too without charging extra.

If you love an authentic experience of the place you travel to, Owl's Nest Homestay is 100% recommended. We have to climb a couple of stairs to reach the homestay but that is a good cardio 😄 The homestay is also secure as the outside door has a digital lock which ensures only those who have prior approval from the family can come in. It's also at a walkable distance to metro station from where you can take metro to Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum,Hogg market etc. KumarTuli is again at a walkable distance.
