Good location, next to the bus stand. However, people who take the long distance bus (like I did between Chennai and Bengaluru) should be aware that the hotel is some 5 odd km from the drop off and pick up points, which are both bang on the Chennai Bengaluru highway. The saving grace is that autos are easy to find in both directions. Autos available outside the hotel for local travel also. The front desk staff could do with some training in customer management. My check out time was incorrect. However the hotel could not accommodate a late check out, even with extra payment on account of the marriage season. They could have been more polite instead of a series of "No" being delivered. Sounded very brusque and curt and bordering on rude. The rooms are adequate. Neat and clean. The state of the linen and upholstery - a different story. Bed sheet and pillow case - grey, worn and torn. The chair had a big hole on the upholstery. Towel again grey and worn and rough. A tiny TV which did not work and nobody bothered to fix. Aircon and lighting - decent. Bath amenities - frugal. A cake of soap and a sachet of shampoo. Pure vegetarian food which was quite good. A nice combo breakfast - hot, tasty and not spicy. Restaurant and room-service staff were polite and helpful. Mismatched hangers in the cupboard. Did not see any indication of laundry service or wifi. Did not ask either The writing table is narrow. Can just about accommodate a laptop on the glass surface, but no chair near the table. Enough plug points. At Rs. 1600/- per night it is a toss up between value for money and being...
Read moreKrishnagiri is a small town - district to be precise- and to find a hotel that is clean, offers airconditioned rooms and a restaurant - may be a challenge but RKV Residency does that. Don't expect too much except a certain degree of acceptable cleanliness and service. Both are in place, and the food in its restaurant is cheap and good. With the bus station on one side, with a narrow strip of land separating it from it, it may get a bit noisy at night with buses honking their way in at an unearthly hour, which may wake you up - it did wake me up for sure. At times, there may be an odd dog barking nearby, but you have the choice of taking rooms on the other side which makes better sense. Or carry earplugs if you believe in them. Overall, a good place for Krishnagiri but an average...
