Basecamp Lonavala — Hotel in Maharashtra

I wanted to have a difference experience on my vacation with family this time and the usual hotel, resort or villa wasn't appealing. So i kept surfing on the internet, thats when i stumbled upon Base camp, it caught my attention!!. I knew that staying in a nicely done container at the foot hills of the mountain would definitely offer a unique experience. The photos displayed online matched with the actual property. The comfortable ambience, prompt services and a warm welcome by the owners of the property made out experience even more special. One of the best part of the property was the open play area and multiple games and equipment in good condition which helped us to engage in physical play with kids and adults too. The area is in city centre so everything around is quite easily accessible. Overall a good place for family to relax, unwind and be reminded of their own childhood.

A best of both worlds.

You get connectivity, but you get solitude too. It's just a left turn from the wax museum near the toll plaza. But it's inside so you do not hear any traffic noise.

You get a private villa experience, thanks to the seperate container homes, at the prices of a regular hotel room.

You get resort amenities like a swimming pool and kids play areas, but since there's only 5 rooms, you do not get the resort crowding problem.

You get gourmet starters, but you don't get a stingy serving like gourmet restaurants. The food quantity is a LOT. The staff is also very polite and friendly.

All in all this is I would say a 5 star hotel at a 3 star price. If you're a person who loves hill stations and road trips in the monsoon, this is the best place to stay; away from the usual over-hyped and over-priced...
