Hideaway Lonavala Villa — Hotel in Maharashtra

We recently stayed at Hideaway Lonavala. The place has potential, and the location is actually quite good — peaceful, and well-placed for a group getaway. The rooms are okay and manageable for a short stay.

That said, there are a few areas that definitely need attention to make the experience more comfortable for guests:

The biggest concern was the kitchen. While the listing mentions it’s equipped for 15+ people, in reality, the utensils and crockery were quite limited and worn out. Some glasses were cracked, and there weren't enough proper-sized vessels for basic cooking like tea or coffee for a group. A set of clean, new plates, spoons, and serving utensils would make a big difference.

Water supply on the upper floors is a real issue — the pressure is low, especially for showers, which can be frustrating.

The cleanliness and maintenance need a bit more care. A fresh coat of paint, cleaner furniture, removal of cobwebs, and a deep clean of the refrigerator would go a long way in improving the overall feel. Also, stocking up on mosquito repellents, clean pillows, and enough blankets would really help.

On the positive side, the housekeeper is extremely courteous and helpful, which we truly appreciated. However, the maids who assist come from far and usually leave by 5 PM, so any help needed after that can be difficult to manage.

In summary, while the space has a nice vibe and the staff are warm, the property needs some thoughtful updates to match the promises made in the listing. With a bit more attention to detail and upkeep, it can become a much better option for group stays.

Pros :

Our caretaker Atik made sure that we received the best care despite heavy rains throughout the day. He even helped us drain some water from the pool as it was too deep for some of us! He hooked us up with a person who could serve hot tea and snacks at any time during the day. You can use Blinkit, Swiggy/Zomato and order from fast food joints or restaurants as well, which is a big plus. Property is extremely well maintained, we could rarely see cobwebs, plus there’s a TV which has all apps which makes this villa value for money. Kitchen is big enough plus there are crockeries, utensils as well for light cooking and serving food ordered through food apps. There is a cricket set, UNO/Board games, card games, foosball table, carrom board, which is a huge positive!

Cons :

The living room A/C should have been working, but it didn’t cause a huge issue as the weather was cold enough. Toiletries, towels, etc. should be provided, even if not for all guests. Basic hand towels and tissues could have...

I stayed at this property with my team of 11 people and we had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and well organized, making it a truly hassle free stay. The property was exactly as shown in the photos. No surprises, just a beautiful, well maintained space that exceeded our expectations.

The interiors were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged, making it incredibly comfortable for our entire team. It really felt like a home away from home, which made a big difference during our stay.

One of the highlights was the availability and attentiveness of the caretaker (Atik) He was always around when needed, super responsive, and made sure we had everything we required. The overall ambiance, cleanliness and convenience of the location made this an ideal stay for us.

My whole team genuinely loved it and we would not hesitate to book this property again in the future.
