KIA WOODS BEACH RESORT — Hotel in Maharashtra

Terrible experience. The management of this hotel lack basic etiquette when it comes to communicating with guests. We had booked a two-day stay (27th-29th May 2023) at this hotel through MakeMyTrip. We traveled for over 4 hours from Pune to reach the hotel. Just as we were about to arrive, we called the number listed on Google to inquire if the restaurant would be open around 3 PM since my small child insisted on eating upon arrival. The lady who answered started demanding our booking details. My wife provided my name, but she claimed there was no booking in my name. We were shocked because we had never encountered any issues with my previous MMT bookings. She was incredibly rude and insisted on having the booking details. Unfortunately, since I was using the map on my phone, I couldn't provide the details over the call. We informed her that we would be at the hotel in 10-15 minutes and could discuss it there. However, she strongly discouraged us from coming to the hotel. Despite showing our booking details upon arrival, the manager still denied having any booking for us. I called MMT support, and the representative confirmed that the booking was indeed confirmed and even sent the confirmation voucher to the hotel twice immediately. Nevertheless, the hotel staff remained obstinate, refusing to provide a room or acknowledge our booking. With no other decent resorts available, we had no choice but to return to Pune after requesting MMT to cancel our booking, which they promptly did.

On our way back to Pune, when we had already crossed Alibaug, the same lady called again and asked if we still needed a room. Initially, she claimed there were no rooms available, but now, after everything that had happened, she suddenly offered to help. It would have been more helpful if she had accommodated us while we were still at the hotel. We declined her offer and continued our journey to Pune. This experience taught us a few valuable lessons: Always double-confirm any bookings made through MMT with the hotel directly. NEVER BOOK...

Just spent a wonderful fun weekend at the resort... It's not a resort resort... But more like a fun private villa... The property is smallish as compared to a proper resort. But nonetheless the rooms are Cosy, the property is spacious, the vibes are AWESOME. Coming back to the rooms... They are spacious enough to accommodate 3 adults. The amenities are basic. But taken care of. There are no intercoms in room. So room service can be cumbersome, but it can be taken care of as we just need to get down 10 stairs to reach the kitchen and inform them our needs.

The Food is delicious. They offer both veg and non veg / seafood cuisine. They have a set menu everyday. But they can cook the dishes as per your wish, with prior information. The taste is lovely and all the dishes are freshly prepared. The service is excellent. They also have a cosy dining spot with an option of roof top seating as well.

The Pool is decent sized and well maintained.

All in all a good place to spend a quiet weekend by the beach as nagaon beach is a 5 minute drive away.

It is a best place for short holiday as this resort is surrounded by nature & located exactly 7 mins walking distance from Nagaon beach.. We had booked 1 room for 2 nights with pool view, I personally liked the room which was quite spacious and decently decorated... also Thr is in house restaurant so no need to worry about food, food quality was quite tasty, yummy and impressive. we tried both seafood, poultry and vegetarian dishes and all were delicious. Sepcial mention to owner, host & support staff who were extra cautious on service part and ensure on time service whatever we have demanded for. Overall experience was good and happy. Definitely will visit again with family & friends.

Note - Comparing overall facilities, little expensive, but you can negotiate (as per season and rush) with Owner (Ashish) who is call away and always ready accomodate whatever best he can!
