I love to travel a lot, but what I love more is to spend less on my stay while travelling solo as I think one simply needs to park his body mostly during night when travelling. But when travelling with your family the same terms and conditions do not apply.||So, me and my mother went to Mumbai to meet my cousin and the property nearest to my cousin's place was OYO 46995 Hotel Grand Plaza. By the pics that have been uploaded in the website the place looked pretty decent to stay with the family tension free.||Booked the room through Booking.com got the timely confirmation about my booking from the property and Booking.com.||Reached the property on the said day post getting down at Dadar. Approached the property which is located within a residential property. Entry was not something great ok looking entry and more okay looking was the reception counter of the property. ||My first scuffle happened right at the reception itself where the was time n time again stating sir please cancel your booking at Booking.com and make the pay,ent to the property directly. To which when I asked him the reason he said sir there is always a payment delay from Booking for which I insisted not to do so. Then before me and my mother could go to the room I thought of simply giving a prior look to the room coz somehow I smelled something fishy.||Boy oh boy I took the correct decision of checking the room as the smell was pathetic due to wall dampness, wall had a lipstick mark, linen was a bit dirty and so the side wall of the bed too. A typical room that fits the description of properties mostly associated with OYO as per most of my friends. So spoke to the manager to have the room changed where he was a bit hesitant but when my mother told me to look for a property else he somehow agreed to show another room to me which if not 100% as the last one but still somehow 40% similar. So we agreed to stay. In my booking it was mentioned that breakfast would be part of the package but the receptionist kept on denying it n number of times when finally a third party told him that the app does mention about the breakfast when he finally realised the fault. But it was good we didn't have our breakfast there as the pantry looked very shabby from the outside.||Went out to roam in the evening then came back to the property at 12am and went of to sleept when suddenly in the at around 2:30am our sleep was broken by verbal fights between the hotel employees which was damn loud. Somehow we tried to sleep again but it was the worst and the a very scary situation to happen in the night in a hotel.||Checked out the third day post spending horrible two nights at this property. The only consolation prize we had was perfect functional AC, TV and the room service ( the person was very humble n helpfull ).||My verdict for this property if one is coming with family. Horrible property, damp walls, ill maintained linen and untidy washroom.||OYO if you guys are looking at this review. You guys need to buckle up big time when it comes to doing a quality/health check-up of the properties under your. I BOOKED THE ROOM THROUGH OYO BY PAYING THE FULL AMOUNT AND WHEN I REACHED THIS LODGE, THEY REFUSED TO GIVE THE ROOM. AND THEY SAID THEY CAN GIVE IF YOU PAY DOUBLE THE AMOUNT. THEY WILL GIVE SO MANY EXCUSES LIKE RUSH. SEASON. WEEKDAYS. WEEKENDS ETC.. IT IS NOT JUST ONE HOTEL DOES THIS TRICK. MANY HOTELS ASSOCIATED TO OYO DOES THIS. ACTUALLY THEY ARE UTILISING OYO TO ATTRACT THE CUSTOMERS TO THEIR HOTEL AND ONCE YOU REACH THERE THEY WILL ASK MORE MONEY. AS YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTION YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY MORE. . SOME TIME OYO WILL ARRANGE ANOTHER ACCOMMODATION. THIS TIME I WAS LUCKY THEY ARRANGED ANOTHER ROOM THOUGH THE NEW HOTEL WAS ALMOST 10 KMS AWAY. SOME TIMES THE ACCOMMODATION TO WHICH THEY SHIFT YOU ALSO WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE YOU. MOST OF THE TIME YOU HAVE TO CANCEL THE ACCOMMODATION AND SEARCH YOUR OWN OR HAVE TO PAY THE HOTEL WHATEVER...

This place is located one of the dirtiest areas of Mumbai. Their kitchen is by far one of the dirtiest kitchens I have ever seen. We were offered toasts as breakfast but we didn't eat looking at the state of kitchen. 2.. Bed was unclean and had stains over it TV was not working Soap looked as though it was used by someone else The staff and guests scream and talk even during the night because of which we didn't get any sleep. There's a mosque too which uses loudspeaker at 5am (I am writing this not because I am islamaphobic but I am cautioning others before they book a room here)
