Panchvati Residency — Hotel in Mumbai

The worst experience till date. Starting with the lift, the space is just for 2 people . Max 3. Small congested and will ruin you mood and vacation definitely. Next comes the room service. The phone doesn't work. Numbers are inconsistent and different from each room. No idea how they pull it off. Once you manage to dial it, you can't reach out to them again for next 4-5 times and you'll have to go through the lift a hundred times because even the phone number on Google maps is wrong. Then let's talk about breakfast, there's no buffet or menu that you can choose. They have a pre-decided menu ( it was idli sambhar for us ) and diabetics can't eat rice so no breakfast for a few of your family members too. Then let's talk about AC. Their AC stopped working around 3'o clock in the night and you couldn't call them obviously. So there goes the night. All in all, my experience wasn't that good. Thank you for your response and asking me for a review. The hotel is in good location, easily reachable near DN Nagar metro station. The rooms were comfortable and good. Bathrooms were clean and neat. No issues there. The window of the room was left open previously and room had mosquitoes, lot of them. The real problem however, is the check in process and unfriendly staff. They insisted on taking a copy of visa page on my sister's Indian passport and I had to argue and firmly push back. The family only policy implementation at check in is quite awkward with the staff asking too many nosy personal questions and looking at guests with too much suspicion. The whole thing creates a negative atmosphere after which you dont feel like reaching out to the staff for anything you may need during your stay. One of the most horryifying expereince of my life. I am an avid traveller due to my business needs and unfortunately chose this hotel through mmt. There were lot of rats roaming inside the room itself and they got into the luggage and nibbled my shaving box and food inside. The room was not cleaned prior to checkinn and depsite repeated calls no one bothered to show up. Intercom in the room was also faulty and if you have to connect to front desk you to use your mobile to call hotel directly. I will strongly advive against booking this hotel if you are not planning to catch rabbies by rat bites. Buffet breakfast was complimentary and on demand 1 plate chole bhature and tea was offered in the room. Me being diabetic cannot have such heavy meals in morning despite the same request made not action was taken.
