For a first timer in Mumbai, PG is the best option and since I stay in a PG, Iāll lay out my experience for PG only.
Need Improvement:
š Roommates: This can be the worst drawback. You don't know who your roommate is! If, this š© is a troublemaker your stay in PG is ruined.
šPest Control: Pest control should be done in a year by āThe Habitatā and it should not be charge by PG member.
Fulfilled:
šLimited freedom: Some PGs wonāt allow bringing your friends or them staying over.
šCooking: You can cook in PGs. But only VEG is allowed.
šHygiene: Itās a 3BHK Flat (Not all PGās are well maintained. Some are moderately clean, some dirty, I have seen plenty ones too). My expectation much in terms hygiene & quality, room cleaning should be fulfill in āThe Habitatā. Also every person responsibility to keep house clean.
šNetwork: Most of the job seekers initially choose PGs and chances are youāll meet some job hunters which would be a good source of information for walk-ins, openings.
šDrinks and Cigarettes: Drinks (Hard Drinks) and Cigarettes are not allowed at all.
šDeposit: Refundable after living a PGs.
šAmenities: ā The Habitatā is a good PGs offer amenities such as washing machine, CCTV cameras, 24/7 guard, TV, Wi-Fi, purifiers, parking space.
