THE HABITAT MUMBAI — Hotel in Mumbai

For a first timer in Mumbai, PG is the best option and since I stay in a PG, I’ll lay out my experience for PG only.

Need Improvement:

👉 Roommates: This can be the worst drawback. You don't know who your roommate is! If, this 👩 is a troublemaker your stay in PG is ruined.

👉Pest Control: Pest control should be done in a year by “The Habitat” and it should not be charge by PG member.

Fulfilled:

👉Limited freedom: Some PGs won’t allow bringing your friends or them staying over.

👉Cooking: You can cook in PGs. But only VEG is allowed.

👉Hygiene: It’s a 3BHK Flat (Not all PG’s are well maintained. Some are moderately clean, some dirty, I have seen plenty ones too). My expectation much in terms hygiene & quality, room cleaning should be fulfill in “The Habitat”. Also every person responsibility to keep house clean.

👉Network: Most of the job seekers initially choose PGs and chances are you’ll meet some job hunters which would be a good source of information for walk-ins, openings.

👉Drinks and Cigarettes: Drinks (Hard Drinks) and Cigarettes are not allowed at all.

👉Deposit: Refundable after living a PGs.

👉Amenities: “ The Habitat” is a good PGs offer amenities such as washing machine, CCTV cameras, 24/7 guard, TV, Wi-Fi, purifiers, parking space.

Mattress and bed quality below average for beds. No provision for dining or sitting in hall, need to have food either in room or sit in the floor Queries take time to get resolved No other facilities like Gym or Club house allowed for Bachelors. Flat quality is very good but maintenance and quality living is very poor Very strict Policies for bachelors whereas all are adults and working people but gets treated like students. No fixed rules for contracts and rent, everyone is told different contracts and rent for the same flat but bed wise.

Househelp is very reluctant regarding his job responsibilities, won't come for 2-3 days in a row sometimes without informing and if told to do basic tasks like cleaning and all he will clean only kitchen and leave then postpone the rest to the next day. Also too nosy regarding...
