I recently had the displeasure of staying at Hotel Blue Sapphire Residency Near Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, and I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. The hotel's failure to deliver on the promises made during the booking process left me feeling frustrated and deceived. From a denied early check-in to a lack of included dinner, this hotel failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
One of the main reasons I chose Hotel Blue Sapphire Residency Near Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport was due to the enticing offer of a free early check-in. I specifically mentioned my arrival time while making the reservation, and it was clearly stated that an early check-in would be accommodated. However, upon reaching the hotel, I was informed that my room was not yet available and I would have to wait until the standard check-in time. This left me stranded with my luggage and a sense of inconvenience that I did not anticipate.
Furthermore, the booking explicitly mentioned that dinner was included in the price. However, upon inquiry at the hotel's restaurant, I was told that dinner was not part of the package I had purchased. This inconsistency between what was promised during the booking process and the reality on-site was extremely disappointing. It felt like a blatant attempt to mislead guests into booking with false promises.
Additionally, the staff's attitude towards these issues only added to the overall disappointment. The front desk personnel were dismissive and unapologetic, showing no interest in rectifying the situation or providing a satisfactory resolution. Read moreVery bad experience. The hotel is at a shady place, very uncomfortable for anyone. The uber drops you off at 50-60 meters away, probably cause the hotel gave wrong location. The uber always drops where there are other hotels nearby. The normal working staff were kind and good, however the management, reception desk and owner were very rude. We had to book 2 rooms as we weren't allowed to stay together, even when all of us were well above 18 years, they still said we couldn't. After that they asked for 24% tax saying 12%/room means 24% for both of them. When I tried to talk to them that the math was wrong (basic maths, how are they running a business); they weren't ready to listen. And as it was late, I had no option but to pay. They also were rude and argued with the female members of us group. When we wanted to take our keys with us as we had valuables in our room, they told us to pay them ₹1500 if we lose them, even before we got out of hotel. Outside food isn't allowed, we decided to get out to eat and they behaved rudely. They knocked and asked us to leave even before the checkout time. No extra mattress, sheet, pillow or blanket was provided even when we paid extra for more people. Overall terrible management. And false claims. In google, it is written as OYO hotel (even in google maps you find it by that name only). When we said we've stayed at other hotels and never experienced such bad service, they said they don't even know what OYO is, they have nothing to do with it. But their name has OYO in it. Read moreMy stay at this OYO hotel was really bad. They didn't tell me about repairs when I booked, and even after booking 3 weeks early, they didn't help much. The repairing in the corridor was going on for 2 days during our stay (photo attached below). It was full of dust and no roam to pass through. I was complaining and complaining but there was nothing helpful I found from the Hotel authority or from OYO.
The room was terrible – no hot water, dirty room and toilets, bugs, smelly clothes, and a broken AC. I couldn't be able to stay even for 1 hour in that room. Then they changed me to another room which was also dirty and had broken walls and mold with no hot water as well. With multiple complaints they called one electrician in the evening to repair the geyser and he was repairing it while me and my family was in the room (photo attached below). The toilets were really dirty with stains of poop.
The staff at the counter were rude and they refused for any refund or booking cancellations. They also told me that the catchy picture they put on the OYO website is just to attract people and those are very old pictures. I don't know how OYO is allowing these types of hotels to get listed on their websites. They are really tarnishing the OYO's reputations.
Only good point about the hotel is the location it has. It's just 2km away from the airport and that's why we booked it. There were many poor reviews about this hotel. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I don't recommend anyone...
