I lived here for a week because of mandatory quarantine for all international travellers arriving in Mumbai and I didn't enjoy my stay here at all. The guy at reception was consistently rude for no reason. I had to ask for clean towels and mineral water (both are complimentary) every single day. Staff will not give it to you unless you ask, it's their policy. They also delivered these things hours after you ask. Usually I had to remind them 2-3 times until I finally received it. Bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, even the drainage was clogged. They cleaned it after I requested. They are also very greedy. We asked them for refund of last day if we tested negative for corona 2-3 days in advance, they simply rejected. They also charged us for entire day even though we checked in at 3:00 am but this is okay. Food was okay. Many rooms do not have windows because of which air is not ventilated properly. My room was stinking of cigarette smoke for first few days because of previous occupant who was a heavy smoker. This is dangerous considering many people who stay here are quarantined and some might be covid positive. And most important, the sheets were extremely dirty. To top it, they said they never change the comforter no matter how dirty it is, they only change the cover sheets of comforter. It's their policy. See the photos attached. This hotel was one of the hotels where quarantined people stayed for a week. In spite of this, the staff never wore masks or wore them on chins which was extremely dangerous. They didn't give me receipt of the bill or my stay even after asking for 2-3 times. I am still awaiting the bill via email as they promised, and I suspect it will never arrive.
To summarise, this is not a 3 star hotel for sure and you should not stay here unless you have no...
Read moreMay not look much from outside, but this is a very good place, when it comes to rooms, cleanliness and staff at reception. They offer parking for your car too if you've driven down there. The rooms are decent sized ones, linen is clean, quality of toiletries is very good again (they are branded ones too and are replaced everyday unlike some other chain of hotels), clean bathrooms with crisp white set of towels are some of the things that make your stay really comfortable.
On the not so positive side, I didn't like the food here much. Too spice laden and too oily. I asked for tandoori rotis, upon enquiring specifically, I was told that they are made of wheat flour, however they turned out to be made of maida... There are quite a few eating joints around this hotel though...
Second thing which I found extremely inconvenient is that they haven't provided stools in the bathroom. Showers are not powerful enough for you to take a shower. No option but to use the bucket & mug. How will you bathe using bucket & mug? Sitting on covered toilet seat? The only other option is to sit on the floor and have a bath. One option is disgusting and the other is inconvenient. When I complained, I was given a lame excuse that not everyone prefers having a stool in the bathroom. Anyway...
Most importantly, it calls itself a budget hotel. The rates are nowhere indicative of that. I found the rates to be quite expensive for a budget hotel.
Location is convenient if you believe in the public transport. Metro station is just 2-3 mins walk away. You can get buses too. However if you are looking to travel by car, it's a nightmare as the hotel is situated in one of the most crowded area in suburban Mumbai, Sakinaka.
Just some of the things to take care of, and this hotel can keep on getting the "Excellent"...
Read moreI was here for a mandatory quarantine period of 6 days. The food was okay. The location was good. Everything else was very disappointing to say the least. The reception guy for some reason was always very rude. The rooms were not clean. There was a constant smell of smoke in my bathroom and even after keeping the geyser on for a long time, the water was warm only for the first few minutes. A bottle of water and a towel were complementary and I had to remind them every day about this. It was a headache. And even after reminding them they would take 3 to 4 hours to actually bring just these 2 things. We were in quarantine and yet there was no restriction for us to stay in the room! Plus, no one even bothered to wear their masks properly. Some of them never wore the mask!! This is really dangerous and absolutely disgraceful on their part. I arrived at 3 am on my first day and yes I was charged for the entire day. Plus, on the last day I asked for the bill and was told that it will be sent by Email. It was been about 5 weeks since then and I still haven't received it and I'm not sure I am ever going to receive it now!! So they are simply using the covid situation to make money. Overall, this is definitely not a 3 star hotel. Please try your best to...
