Worst Absolutely unacceptable experience with FabHotels. I had booked a Deluxe Room for 2 guests through FabHotels expecting at least the basics of hospitality, safety, and hygiene. What I received was shocking: The rooms shown to me were unsafe, unhygienic, and substandard, not even suitable for one person, let alone a “deluxe” category. Basic amenities like drinking water were missing and denied. The staff were extremely rude and said: “If you don’t like it, leave and contact Booking.com. We are not responsible.” 👉 I did not even check in, yet FabHotels has: Refused to refund my money Misrepresented facts in their emails, falsely claiming I “spent considerable time in the room” which is completely untrue Finally hidden behind “policy” to deny responsibility, despite this being a case of misrepresentation and unsafe conditions I was left stranded outside with my luggage, forced to rebook another property at my own expense, while my hard-earned money remains stuck with FabHotels. This isn’t just a bad experience, it reflects serious issues of trust, accountability, and consumer rights. We recently stayed at Hotel Prakash Inn after a long 700 km journey from the South. While the hotel itself was decent and the service boys were extremely helpful—especially Mohsin, who went out of his way to assist us throughout our stay—our experience started off on a sour note.
Upon arrival, we were charged ₹500 extra per room for an early check-in, even though the owner wasn’t around and it was the receptionist’s decision. Despite explaining our exhaustion from traveling such a long distance, the receptionist insisted on the charge. We paid it simply because we were too tired to argue further.
Other than that, the stay was comfortable, and the staff (apart from the receptionist) were courteous and attentive. I would recommend the hotel for its service team, but management should reconsider how they handle early check-ins, especially for guests arriving after long journeys. Read moreI didn’t stay at this hotel in spite of having a confirmed booking - I tried to contact the hotel many times and received no response, as an international citizen I wasn’t able to pay their deposit but absolutely required the room so persisted to contact them to find a solution (having travelled India for 5 months I’ve done this smoothly many times).
When I finally got through to someone, I was told that as per my reservation on booking.com, he could see it was confirmed, but went on to say the hotel was fully booked - fortunately I discovered this just before boarding a flight to Mumbai and was able to very quickly book a different and reliable hotel, thankfully not getting transport in the middle of the night to a place that would turn me away as a solo female traveller in Mumbai in between two days of solid travel. Customer service is appalling and I will steer well clear of this ‘Fab’ hotel brand and encourage others to do the same.
