HOTEL GRAND TIZU — Hotel in Nagaland

Hotel Grand Tizu|Stay Period: 31st May - 3rd June.|Rooms: 202 & 308.|Should say the hotel is good with design but far in distance of comfort & good stay experience.|Ambiance of the hotel is decent but the entire hotel was warm/hot in temperature.|Rooms: Spacious (Furnitures & Fixtures are old worn out)|Bed & Linen: Uncomfortable, Moisture trapped & had skin rashes.|Bathroom: Little to none amenities, Broken bath fixtures, Moisture drenched walls & Poor water quality.|Food: Restaurant decor needs improvement, Less selection of B.fast & other food options, Taste wise it seems fine (Expensive end), Restaurant had flies, AC was not effective, Restaurant offered us Plates with strong Odour, Oil Stained Plates (This made us to proactively ask the staff in every meal to wash the equipments with soap & wipe the mentioned with tissues on all the dining ocassions)|Service related Issues: Parents staying in #308 Ac Room had shared that the Aircon in the room doesnt get chilled as desired ( Change in room was offered but the same was denied as they had already unpacked), no water in the bathroom & the same was not rectified even untill Check-out, Electricity tripped on multiple ocassions (6/7 times we were stuck in the elevator & it takes 40/50 seconds or more for a changeover)|Maintainance: The Hotel requires a good makeover to address the mentioned issues & service from the Gate, FO, HK, Service & Maintainance/engineering has to be looked upon to make it liveable for guests. |Value for money: With 20K Expense in the mentioned hotel & with all the pointers as shared it was a disastrous experience. Stayed for a night at this property with my wife. The checkin and checkout was smooth and quick. The staff were courteous and helpful. We stayed in room 301 and it was spacious with a comfortable bed. The dinner served was good too. The thing which we did not like is that the room does not have a direct window for natural light, I mean the window opens up to the corridor. The bathroom towels need to be replaced as they have stains and are a bit worn out.

The hotel did not maintain the breakfast timings too. The breakfast starts at 7:30 am, though we went around 8 am, still we are made to wait 15 mins to serve just bread and omlette. The server also said that if we order poori sabji or paratha it is going to take more than half an hour.
