Having heard so much about this place, I decided to try it out. It's quite a long review but I wanted to be specific, so here goes.
The first thing that immediately catches your attention, you when you step "down"(Nichey) the stairs and into the Restaurant, is the ambiance! It's great! The arrangements and decors are very well thought out and the attention to detail is top notch! The Restaurant is spacious, with various sections.
I'm very particular when it comes to sitting and eating literally, as in, I need the table to be at a comfortable height when I sit to eat. Well, we sat at the Bar-end of the Resto, and the custom made chairs & tables, although very creative in design, unfortunately didn't have that comfort level height proportions. I had to strain myself to sit upright while eating which adversely affected my overall experience.
The other issue I faced was with the Waitstaff. The first Waitress that took the order was given specific instructions to avoid spice (medical reasons) in the dish ordered. But then, somewhere in between, another waitress took over and served us the dish, which I landed up returning to be remade, as it was way too spicy. There was probably a communication gap between them, that could have been avoided, had the same waitress stuck to it.
Nitpicking aside, the food was delicious!😋 The Menu is diverse and exciting. It confuses you (in a good way), because there's so much to choose from! And the Cutlery & Crockery...👌🏼👌🏼!! However, it should be pointed out that it's not a pocket-friendly Resto. Prices are on the higher side.
I'd say, Nichey is a great place to hangout with colleagues & friends but not so much so, with Family. This place might make claustrophobic people uncomfortable because it has an underground dungeon like feel. But, on the other hand, it's what sets it apart from the rest, making it unique and adds to the beauty of...
Read moreReview written date: 04 February 2022 The entrance is a small door and easy to miss (at least, I had difficulty locating it that evening). The ambience is great and well laid out, even the washroom is well decorated too. There are two sections of the restaurant - first part is the restaurant and the interior part is the bar section.
The food there is really AWESOME (at least, among the food that I tried). The Truffle fries was absolutely great - crispy on the outside and soft inside. For the main dish, tried the Beef Shank, and highly recommended. The potatoes served with the beef is really tasty (thumbs up to the chef).
The drawback is the music playing in the background, which is rather loud to have a normal conversation. Also, the exit route, in case of emergency exit, need to be highly considered by the owner.

Read moreIt's not a Hidden Gem as its famous enough but it's definitely a "Gem of a place". There might be lot of reasons to visit a place but for me Pros : Great Ambience Very Polite Staff Most Importantly : Very Very Good FOOD. Mocktails and Cocktails are available. A place to have care-free time with friends .
I tried the Loaded Veg Pizza and it was so professionally baked, with a good crust, fresh toppings and adequate amount of Cheese. The price if anyone asks is the half of DOMINOS.
And "Onion Rings" are a Must. Don't know how its made, but there can't be better starter available anywhere, Period.
This is a place that has better food than almost any other restaurant in Dimapur.
The menu has enough option for even vegetarians to pamper their palate.
Cons : Realistically, Impossible to find so we shouldn't be trying.
Kudos to the Management and...
