Hello readers, generally I'm the last person to rate someone so low, but this hotel has given me the worst experience for my sister's wedding, following are few reasons that are worth mentioning- Geyser: The hotel was unable to provide hot water at 0600 in the morning, which in turn gave cold and fever to my sister. As we had to ready the hall for pooja this couldn't be avoided, and the non-functioning of the geyser was not intimidated by the hotel, on complaining a sorry face was cut by the poor management staff.
Valet: A handsome amount is charged for the hall which includes valet services and this is nicely boasted by the hotel management at the time of booking. But there's a catch, valet service is available after 0900, so if you book a hall at 0700, according to the hotel you have to wait till 0900 to avail the facility, and to my surprise, the hotel manager had no answer to this query of mine, and he needed TIME to speak to his superiors. This poor planning by the hotel had me cut a sorry face in front of guests whom I had assured of valet parking. And there is one more catch here, during check out at 1500 still the valet was no where to be seen, not even one car was parked or even offered to be parked by the so called valet service of the hotel.
Poor communication by the staff: I had booked an additional room over and above the room that comes along with the banquet hall. Check out time was 1200, but the manager was kind enough to give me a grace of 2 hrs. We had a very unfortunate incident where one of the senior citizen had to be admitted to the hospital, due to which the spouse of the old man was made to rest in the other room, we exceeded the checkout time by 75 minutes, and I requested them to not charge anything extra as all the sequence of events were taking place in the reception area and the staff was very nicely enjoying the scene. Initially I was promised nothing extra will be charged for the delay and the receptionist was readily returning the deposit amount to me, but at the time of final settlement, he refused to pay me the entire 2000rs deposit saying that I have been charged a tariff of half day for the room where the old lady was resting. As a professional etiquette, I accepted the payment part, but the dumbstruck receptionist who was initially offering me the deposit amount did not even intimate me that I was being charged for the half day i.e. till 1800hrs, and I vacated the room at 1515hrs, because of which the old lady was taken home early and the hotel cheated us with the extra money and the remaining 2hrs 45mins for which I was wrongly charged. The manager was so hopeless that we couldn't do anything about this wrongly charged money, similarly he couldn't do anything about the valet service, and I'm sure he is clueless about his rooms having faulty geysers, and even if they have solar geyser, it was their responsibility to provide my family with hot water at 0600 in the morning. Seems like the comfort of the guests takes a back seat once the management receives the payment of the hall and the room. Purely shameless and unprofessional service from the hotel. This is basically a team of rude, unprofessional team who have no respect and are just running the business because of the respect earned by the previous generation. I had booked this place for a family function. But the problem started st the reception itself. The 2 male receptionist are a Redflag for starters. They refuse to budge from their warm seats to even speak to the guests who basically paid for their salaries. Because as per their service even the higher management would refuse to pay them a single penny. Secondly the rooms given are basically an uncleaned lodge room. Just a bed, no working ac, dim lights, no space. The room service asks you to pay everything upfront even if you are a guest of someone. The elderly manager who boasts about their services and manners might have not even tasted or oversaw how their staff treats people. Queen of England would treat her staff and guests better, but the shameless staff of Abbott plans to ruin everything. Probably they take out all the anger of their failed HM career on to the guests. If you have booked the hall for a function, be prepared to do everything yourself. You have to run around the staff to get them serve the juices and starters around the room. They are probably asked to hide around and not serve to reduse the costs of their so called "unlimited starters and drinks". There would be a person named ABDUL who should be removed at the first instance because he is the face of rudeness to the customers. If u ask him to get the waiter staff to serve juices "de to rahe hai aapko dik nahi raha hai kya" would be his response. They charge you for everything but will not give you anything. He had spoked rudely to the people who paid for the event also to the guests.. STAFF BADLO REVIEWS BADLENGE. You guys are prime example of getting everything by providing nothing. However, the staff at Abbott Hotel, Navi Mumbai was very accommodating right at the moment when I really needed them to be. It was supposed to be a two day stay at the hotel over a weekend, with the standard check-in time at 12 noon, but here I would like to make a special mention of Mr. Amit, who manages the reception for he was very kind in letting me and my travel companion check-in early at around 1030 AM. Check-in was quite easy and swift, a mere 2 minutes procedure if you have the required ID documents ready with you, and the Executive room provided to us was very top-rated in terms of cleanliness, comfort, ambiance, decor and facilities therein. While the overall staff was polite and quick in availing us the needed services in terms of in-room dining, housekeeping and the general room service, Mr. Amit, again for the second time, won our hearts when due to some reasons our flight got delayed and he acceded to our special request of extending the stay at a very nominal charge. This immediately transformed us into promising patrons of the hotel. In short, this is a nice and comfy hotel with the politest and most accommodating staff handling the property, and with Mr. Amit taking care of occupants' comfort and needs, I am sure it will have many more regular travelers as its customers.
