Every Family has an eatery where they have memories complied. A fixed table, same Captain and hosts of conversations that changed lives across years. Well to be true to all of you, I also have such a place its called @TheCreek-AbbotHotel. Located in the premises of Abbot Hotel, this restaurant has been the favorite eatery for me in this town and it so happens that my parents also agree to the same. Just across the main road, when you wanted some personal time, did you struggle to find a suitable place when you were Vashi. Well trust me and search no more. The hungryman suggests you definitely try out The Creek at the Abbot hotel. Keeping the emotions aside and sincerely talking about the food let me describe to you my order from this weekend. With a menu that offers a host of cuisines, it wasn't easy to choose the right options to eat. I started with the Vegetarian Tom Kha Soup. A unique mix of vegetables in a coconut and tomato gravy did surprise my taste buds. The Monchao Soup was also a perfect blend of vegetables and spices that developed a lasting excitement of good taste. For the ones who want to start with Liquor do not miss their cocktails. The Strawberry Daiquiri or the Pinacolada. The Mojito's are pure excellence. Going ahead I ordered for a mix of veg and non-veg starters. Veg Bikaneri Kebab , Chicken and Cheese Kebab and some multani mushrooms. Each of the dishes was finely cooked. while the green vegetable taste was prominent in the Bikaneri Kebab, the mushrooms were well marinated and the taste was simply amazing. The chicken had a stronger taste like that of the malai tikka but it did have a good flavor and consistency of Cheese. Going to the main course I called for Paneer Kadai and the Chicken Joshiley. The Paneer was fare to its taste, but the chicken wasn't as joshiley as the name suggests. Pair you Indian mains with the Garlic Cheese Naan and trust me you will never regret calling for this bread. Go out and run for 2 extra kms the next day, but do taste this interesting tandoor preparation. In the non-veg I tried some Grilled chicken, which was different than the usually eaten versions. A little fried and deep red served with a portion of Stir-Fried veggies and some Potato Wedges, this grilled chicken was good to taste but was not what I expected. To top it up, please do call for some desserts too as the Rabri, Malai Kulfi, Gulab Jamun and the sheera are all of some fine quality and wonderful to taste. This is all what I could eat on my one visit but trust me the Chinese & the Sizzlers are no less. and you can relish on most of their dishes. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful service @TheCreek. The hungryman walked out happy and content on the food, while a little light on the wallet. See you soon....
Read moreThis restaurant happens to be one of the first Vashi ever saw. Alongside the popularmore Udipi like restaurant - Navratna across the road, Abbott has been the destination for so many Navi Mumbai weddings, banquets and meetings. Once upon a time this hotel stood out as a very distinct landmark but is now engulfed by huge advertising boards and tall buildings. But one thing that hasn't got engulfed is its charm and quality. The hotel is still in its pristine form. It is now as it was then and even still remains one among the best in Navi Mumbai. Not one to market and shout, The Creek is a restaurant that's easy to miss if you don't research and just go by the noise. With the context set, here's my review.
Ambiance(4.5/5):
This is one place I never get bored of. The last time I went for this restaurant as I write this review was when I got my new job which is just a week back(Many thanks for your wishes :D). We almost always visit this place for lunch which is the best time to be pampered by Ample parking (Valet) No waiting Super fast service Lots of breathing space Evenings probably are not a good time since the restaurant is located at a very prime locality and is normally full. The tables are very neatly arranged at a distance that's enough to steal a kiss. The décor is not loud but very sombre and light on the eyes. I give the ambience a 5/5. It's got the kind of look that suits a romantic evening , a family outing or just a hangout with friends.
Food(4.5/5): I've been here so many times that I must have had every dish on the menu. Not one tasted bad enough for me to ask you not to try but some tasted so good that I have to ask you to try them. You go to The Creek; You Eat The Mumtaz Mutton Briyani. Period. The best mutton briyani I've tasted outside of home. The Rabri here is very subtle in its sweetness and is cool like that. Definitely worth a try. nothing else in particular that I'm going to ask you to recommend or avoid. Everything is good. Suit your taste.
Service(2.5/5): The service was swift but curt. There's a tinge of arrogance that you'll find but the other positives drown such minor trivialities. Plus stewards standing around and gossiping doesn't do much good either. While the service was to the point, I'd have expected a bit more courtesy.
Value For Money(5/5): For a restaurant like this, the prices are very nominal! The restaurant is not tough to reach. It's very nicely placed near the Vashi Bus Depot and on the highway. You need not worry about parking either. The food's awesome too!
Recommend? (Yes) For a star hotel-like ambiance, delicious food and nominal pricing, I definitely recommend The Creek

Read moreThis is the first time I got disappointed by the taste of food here..Had Veg Manchurian Soup + Paneer chole kebab + Butter chicken + Naan. (8/2/2020-Lunch time) Everything was bad... soup was salty, Kabab was bland, Butter chicken too sweet with no tandoori shredded chicKen had normal boiled chicken shreds and lot of color,Naan had a distinct smell of old atta..mould like. Understood from sources working there that the old cook left job for better prospect and migrated to UAE..but before putting this review I took review from my family and friends who occasionally visit this place and to my surprise all said the same thing.. Taste is not like before. Hope management takes care of this.. I left this place informing of there short comings to manager Incharge of restaurant at that time.. The one...
