Worst hotel experience ever. My husband booked 'Hotel Rainbow, Vasant Kunj, India' on a popular booking site.|Firstly, we spent over an hour in the taxi looking for 'Hotel Rainbow', which DOES NOT EXIST! The phone number connected to the hotel booking was 'Hotel Prithvi Palace'.|We went to this venue, and they said our booking was down the road at 'Hotel Luxury Stay (HLS)'. They are obviously a chain. |Hot and bothered, we walked 100m to 'Hotel Luxury Stay' and finally checked in to our room... which wasn't 'Luxury' at all. We expected 3â basic comfort, however the pillows were dirty and ripped, plaster/wall paper was peeling off the walls, black hair on the pillows and sheets, dirty floor mat, a noisy window A/C with tape holding something in place... and the list goes on, as you will see in the photos.|There was only one towel provided (no bathroom floor mat, no hand towel). I asked for a second towel... waited 2 hours... asked again and was told to wait. We just wanted showers after a long day! We went out and came back an hour later... still no towel. I asked another staff member, who got us a towel from a free-standing cupboard literally outside our room!|Worst of all, we had breakfast included in our booking, yet we had to walk 100m back to the other hotel, 'Hotel Prithvi Palace' to experience their sub-standard basic breakfast. It wasn't worth the inconvenience. |I recommend saying away from this/these places: Hotel Rainbow (does not exist) / Hotel Prithvi Palace / Hotel Luxury Stay (site of the apparent Hotel Rainbow. False advertising and some of the reviews for 'Hotel Rainbow' refer to different hotels also.|Management should be embarrassed to rent rooms in this condition, let alone falsely advertise under a non-existent name....
Read moreif you like being lied to, scammed, and thrown out onto a dark laneway in dangerous suburb of Delhi late at night with no place to go, then hotel Delhi residencey (formerly known as hotel rainbow) is the place for you! ||Booked the hotel through bookings.com 1 week in advance and upon arrival couldnât even find the place as it wasnât signed from the main road. Exhausted, at 10pm at night you can understand it is frightening for young female traveler by herself. Finally found the poorly signed hotel rainbow and entered the accomodation where the smug receptionist told me this is not hotel rainbow and it no longer exists. I called the number provided on my booking confirmation and his phone rang. He then admitted it was the same place but blamed me for booking on booking.com saying itâs âunreliableâ and provided no help, phone, compensation or even apology. Anyway long story short the man wouldnât accept my legitimate booking and there was no where for me to go. He was rude, disinterested and smug about the whole incident and I was exasperated. This bad review should be of no surprise to anyone from the business as I warned before I left that I would be vocal about my appalling experience. ||||All the good reviews you read online that tempt you to this cheep accomodation are obviously written by employees of the business because i am 100% certain this is the worst place in the world. Very frustrationg. I urge you to...
