I have stayed in the hotel for 2-days and 2-nights along with my wife. I have booked a Deluxe Premium Room. Let me tell you some good and bad about the hotel. Starting with some good points-
Location: The hotel is situated at the main highway at Mahipalpur (nearby Delhi Airport) and it is very close to Delhi Aerocity metro station (5-7 min walking). There are medical stores and market nearby.
Safe & Secure: If you are looking for a hotel as married or unmarried couple or for girls group to stay then this is very safe and secure hotel as they also have female staffs (receptionist).
Facilities: So the facilities they provided us in the rooms were- *Room heater (as it was cold in delhi) *AC was also there (if you are going in summer) *1 double-bed with mattress and blanket (the quality were amazing) Bathroom & Toiletries - a small bottle of shampoo, two small soaps, two bath towels and one hand towel was provided in the bathroom. There was also a mirror in the bathroom. Overall it was a neat and clean bathroom. No issues with it. Electric Kettle for boiling water or make tea/coffee. Dustbin was also provided. A small TV with DTH connection Wifi One table and chair Two bed-side tables One complimentary water bottle was also provided Two glasses for drinking water was provided Two packs of coffee, milk powder and sugar pouches were also provided. Pouches of tea-bags were also provided in the room. A mini refrigerator was also provided.
Cleanliness: The room and bathroom both were neat and clean. No complaints for it.
Room service & staff behavior: No complaints with respect to room-service. The staff were polite and humble.
Now lets talk about the bads/negatives or things i don't like about the room.
Size of the room & windows- The room size was way too small. You will feel a little bit packed inside it. Although two-people can be accommodated in the room but its very small in size. Also, there was a very small window with no views on the other side. You won't even feel the existence of a window in the room.
Lightning: The room did not have sufficient lightnings. Even after switching on all the lights, you will still feel that the light is not enough.
Switch boards: You won't get much charging sockets in the switch boards. There were only two-charging ports in the whole room. So if you are two people and both want to charge your phone along with your laptop or other electronic devices that you have, you won't get much charging sockets.
Wardrobe or cloth hanger: The biggest complaint that I have is regarding the Wardrobe. I mean seriously, even a low budget hotel provides a wardrobe or atleast cloth hangers. But this was quite a costly hotel and they didn't even provided one wardrobe or even a cloth hanger in the room. This was very much disappointing.
Additional points- Food - Since the food was way too costly, like even one plate of Poha will cost you around 200-250 rupees (which is usually charged inside the airport) we didn't ordered much foods. We only had order two-coffees (which costed us Rs. 120 for one cup of coffee). The taste of the coffees were ok-ok. Not too bad, not too good.
Price of the hotel - The Deluxe Premium Room costed me around 3400/- per night. At this price point I think the hotel was a bit expensive as I have stayed in different hotels near Delhi Airport (in Mahipalpur), I will say that you will get all this facilities at even a lower priced hotel (around 2,000/- rupees per night).
Airport Pickup/Drop - They had the service of picking or dropping you at the airport but it will cost you separately. They charge 400/- rupees for one side.
I hope my review will help other people to decide whether they want to book the...
Read moreWe missed a domestic flight in India and were looking for an overnight stay to catch the morning flight. On Expedia the ad of this hotel popped up and I called up. I booked the room for Rs. 2200 / $35 incl. all taxes. Room was simple but clean so we found it comfortable for this price. There were some problems but for a short stay we ignored that. But we were shocked when the person named Piyush increased the price with Rs. 500 without any agreement or without informing me. Not only this, he also refused to correct the price. This is general practice that hotels correct the price if there was something wrong but this boy said that he had entered the price and can't change. Very strange. I believe this is the normal practice of this hotel to manipulate the price. This is cheating. It is even worse because I paid first night Rs. 2200 then there is no question to pay Rs. 2700 for 2nd.
I was planning to come to this hotel regularly as it was a cheaper but little clean hotel even if there were some inconveniences. But this behavior of this guy at the time of departure schiked us very much.
Not only this he took 30 minutes in this drama and taking payment with his broken card reader which never worked. After trying 3 different cards I had to pay cash and rush to the airport because in this drama he had caused me my flight to miss.
No chance to come back here again.
Some specifications: This is a small hotel near IGI Airpurt New Delhi Terminal 3. It is a small 10 meter wide building below the overbridge. It is however not farther than 4-5 kilometers but the taxis take same price (Rs. 500) as to the city. Rooms are of average size and are not stinking as you will often see in cheap hotels. Has no any Star rating or at least doesn't qualify Restaurant cooked unhealthy as we got sick next day. On rate card publishes double price starting Rs. 4500 per night. Window doesn't open Air conditioner was old and not cooling enough even if the mechanic came to check. I paid for the room with breakfast but I was charged extra for the breakfast. Water comes very little in the bath room. Couldn't take proper bath even if the mechanic checked. Boys at the reception are unprofessional and are not mature specially Piyush and Rahul. Greed was much notice at this hotel. I wanted to stay next day 5-6 hours more against half price but they took full charge of room. Every staff shall look at you so that giving tip is mandatory. But this is now general practice in India. I haven't seen this greed for un-earned money in other big or small countries.
And remember, this is neither a classic hotel nor for diplomats. It is a small and duplicate of the Diplomat Hotel in Embassy area...
Read moreOverall stay in Classic Diplomat was very good but there are some pro's & con's which i would like to share.
Pro's:
Hotel is just 3.5km away from T2 & it is very easy to get an uber or ola for this location.
The behaviour of the females at reception is very welcoming though they made me to wait for 20 minutes for checking-in but they were very polite as compared to the male receptionists who were there in hotel during ngt.
Overall staff of the hotel is very good, well behaved & cooperative.
Room service is quite good, i got all my orders with in 15-20 minutes.
Room ,washroom, utensils, towels, bedsheet was neat & clean & housekeeping ppl were quite eager to clean the room if it is dirty.
TV, AC, Fan, Lights everything was working properly, the hotel's infrastructure is quite good as it is a 4 star hotel, the connectivity to other places is very good buses cabs are always available near the hotel.
Con's :
No doubt the food they serve is tasty but its too much costly + tere is tax on every thing the food is way expensive in hotel & there are no nearby good places to eat so u will have to eat in hotel only.
While serving food in my room they made me to sign on two bills for each item & they told one copy of each bill will b given to me at the time of check-out but even after asking twice they didn't gave me the individual bill of each item on which they took my signature but they gave me an overall bill adding all the amounts together i wanted to check if the addition is correct or not because the amount was too high but they didn't gave me those bills of my stay in hotel.
They charge for mineral water also 1 liter mineral water bottle will cost u Rs 58 in hotel.
In spite of some concerns i would still like to recommend classic diplomat to other ppl looking at...
