Hotel O Rourkela Palace — Hotel in Odisha

Actually it deserves negative star. This hotel is enlisted on OYO. But after booking through OYO, if you reach out to the hotel they will simply deny of having any connection with OYO and will ask you to pay double the amount paid online to book a room. I called the hotel after booking a room through OYO but the manager continued to reject my call, so I cancelled my booking. Then I called OYO customer care to know whether they are working with this hotel or not. The salesman told me yes they are still operating with this hotel and asked me to again book my room there 2nd time. But when I finally reached there for early check in, the manager was asleep or wasn't present at the hotel. And the staff there asked me to pay double the amount for the same room. Disgusting management system...

If you wanna stay at a hotel in Rourkela, then this is definitely the last place you want.. cheap hotels around the station are much more clean with proper ventilation than this one. I booked through OYO and i was on a time crunch, but these guys refused to have any connection with Oyo saying that "when booked online they don't receive any profit"... This is legit what they said to me at their reception.... At the eleventh hour I had to make a thousand calls and get a place near the station... Worst experience ever.. Thankfully OYO did refund the amount paid and my day didn't get ruined more than...

So I was there to attend a wedding. It is best in terms of location. Located in one of the prime locations of Rourkela. The hotel is filled with all amenities except geyser, some lights. Air conditioner is not working. A lot of other amenities also were not there. But place is affordable, hygienic and quite. Receptionist was also a humble person. I had my train in early morning and the watchman opened the gate. I liked the gesture of the people working there. So if you are finding a place with less amenities but affordable price then it is perfect. Do visit and let me know your experience...
