My recent experience at Mayfair Resort was nothing short of a nightmare, particularly during what should have been a joyous celebration of my honeymoon. The service failures were so egregious that I feel compelled to share my disappointment in this review.

From the initial front desk visit to the culmination of a disastrous evening, the entire experience was marked by a startling lack of accountability and an utter disregard for guest satisfaction.

The booking process, overseen by Mr. Rajesh Patra, was promising at first. However, the reality of our stay fell far short of expectations. Despite multiple follow-ups, the honeymoon package I paid for was never delivered. The absence of a cake, flower decoration, cookies, and appropriate lighting on a night that should have been special was not just a letdown but a profound failure.

The responses from reception staff, including Rajat Dalai, Jyoti Prakash Mishra, and Pramod Naik, were unhelpful and lacked accountability. The delayed arrival of the manager, Mr. Jyoti Prakash Mishra, only added to the sense of neglect.

The head of housekeeping's unprofessional suggestion to keep only four bouquets, despite the pre-paid honeymoon package, was unexpected and further diminished the quality of service.

The three-hour delay in preparing our room and the subsequent rush to order food and drinks due to kitchen and bar closures added further inconvenience, robbing us of the anticipated relaxation and enjoyment.

In conclusion, my recent stay at Mayfair Resort was an unparalleled letdown and a shocking deviation from the service standards I expected. The depth of my disappointment cannot be overstated, and I implore the Mayfair Resort team to undertake a comprehensive examination of their service standards to rectify these shortcomings.

The signature hotel of Rourkela. Being the first branch of the Mayfair group of hotels and resorts, Mayfair Rourkela has consistently evolved. The place has its own essence with Natraj statues, Shiva temple, lush green trees, red roofs and walls. When it comes to food, I have been visiting Mayfair for more than 20 years now and the food is consistent with the flavours and taste all throughout. The price is on the upper range compared to the other restaurants of the city. However it's all worth it given the top notch service, taste and ambience. You can notice changes in the interior setup every six months, which keeps the hotel alive and footfall consistent. It hosts an annual Dhaba festival for a month during winters which is a must visit. The decorations and the event is so well thought of and very detailed. As soon as you enter the festival, there will be waiters ready to greet you in Punjabi attire,the menu is also Punjabi (heaven for non vegetarians) one will be amazed by how the hotel takes care of every details of the setup. Enter the festival, and you will find yourself engaged in the rural setups of Punjab. The rooms are near and tidy. Book a room here and rest be assured about the services. The waiters here are very courteous and well trained. The hotel has multiple options for dining, south indian restaurant, chat counters, outdoor dining, indoors, bar and chambers for four people as well. *cons power cut is frequent but dg power backup given. That take time so tv will be off and again need to be switched on No HD channels available and TV channels subscription is very less, tv is low quality train sound come in room so be prepared costly, as 6160 for room is too much, i came as I saw priced at 4500 and with tax @ 5000 online dental kits are not provided, it will be provided only if asked( I asked once so provided) we tried to call to check availability but one lady picked up said hello and cut off with no answer slippers not provided so come with your own there was get together arranged and full noise coming in the room, glass of bathroom was shaking. No parking space so need to park on road but hotel staff say they look after from roads. Parking is pathetic, my car driver took car inside so one staff had argument with him coz of it, parking is very difficult here so plan accordingly

*pros swimming pool is just awesome, it's best thing about hotel you can go to restaurant and come inside to see full hotel, no issues breakfast was nice and has varieties dosa idli shakes juice mushrooms etc location is very nice, Station is nearby, market is nearby anything can be bought easily 24hrs checkout like I checked in at 5pm so next day till 5pm I can check out water is served in glass bottles with seal from hotel which was nice and even better...
