During my stay at Palm Court Ludhiana, I had a less than satisfactory experience, which I would rate as 2/5. Despite specifically requesting a twin bed room twice before booking, the management mismanaged my request and didn't provide the room I had asked for. Even after they assured me of changing the room upon my return from a site visit, they failed to follow through. Moreover, the overall atmosphere in the hotel felt elitist, with a sense of entitlement displayed by the staff. This added to my discomfort during the stay. The food quality was disappointing as well. The MAP (Modified American Plan) offered limited options and the taste was unappealing. They even managed to mess up something as simple as daal, which was disappointing. The breakfast spread was marginally better, but still, it didn't meet my expectations and was just average. Due to the overall unsatisfactory experience, including the mismanagement, elitist vibes, subpar food, average room decor, and the smelly electric kettle, I had no choice but to cut short my originally planned three-night stay and leave after just one night. It's unfortunate that the hotel failed to meet expectations on multiple fronts, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to make necessary improvements for future guests.

Just checked in today as part of business travels. Very shocking and amazed to know despite not being a 5 star property, they have weird policy of charging an ice bucket without informing and claiming that this is understood. On top it the front office guy replies inappropriately that ā€œdo you think you order anything from room service comes for freeā€. I simply told them that out of my over 20 years of business travels, this is the first time ever I’m witnessing a hotel charging for ice? He instead further argues and says only if you order drinks from us we can give you ice free. Rather we charge for water too. I think this is the blunder my travel desk has made for this time. I shall put this property as a black list for my future travels. Especially, due to the rude and unwelcoming behaviour of the staff rather than providing a gesture of customer service. Pathetic to begin this two days stay here. Not expected from the hospitality industry at least.

Look for someplace else for any function, Palm court does not know how to do it right.

Had booked Palm court for wedding function (Knots hall), the experience for completely opposite to what we had at HMR few days earlier for another function.

Pathetic customer service and sheer incompetence of staff/management was a big disappointment.

Once you have booked, it's your duty to call them and make sure things are in place. They really don’t care much.

The in-package decoration is something they told they do setup for a week and that remains same. Unfortunately they had a qwali night and dƩcor team was planning to go with the same for wedding function with few tweaks. Had to really spend time effort to get it fixed to whatever possible.

The banquet manager was on leave on the week of the function, the backup guy Vikram was least bothered and not picking up the call on the day of the function. When he picked after numerous attempts he gave another person name who will be on the floor, had to insist to get a mobile number over running to the location (anyhow sent 2 friends to check on things).

The hall was stinking. Had informed Vikram a day prior of the same during visit for dĆ©cor arrangement, however not much was put into action. They simply don’t care.

When I arrived at the hall the room in the package was not ready, we were routed to reception where they were asking for ids (they had all the ids they needed which were provided for liquor license). The team was not in sync and they guy at reception had to check with his superiors to give out a room. If that was not enough, they asked for deposit for room key (they already were given 1.5 L in advance). Got the room, which was again stinking as there is no air circulation or windows to it.

Another let down was power backup - There was a period of 8-12 mins of no electricity and they had no clue what happened. Power backup is one key aspect for closing on a reputed hotel, but ended up in dark in Knots hall with all guests inside (its in basement so its like put into a box with no lights & air circulation).

Also they really were asking for guests name and number for head count. Saw it for first time, found it ridiculous and had to ask them to stop - will pay whatever no they come up with.

Then they won't open the lunch till full payment is made and insisted on cash over card payment. This was again their own way to take money first, this was not the case with hotel Maharaja regency. Even the tent guy, florist I had were like we will settle it and you enjoy the function first, but not Palm Court guys.

DJ was also pathetic, nowhere close to value for money. The speakers had lot more treble than bass making ears bleed.

The hospitability was completely missing and they really don’t have what it take to be part of any celebration. So please look somewhere else for any...

My recent stay was incredibly disappointing, marred by multiple issues that overshadowed any positive aspects. Upon arrival, the receptionist's demeanor was shockingly rude and unwelcoming. Instead of a warm greeting, I was met with dismissive behavior and a lack of professionalism that set a negative tone for the entire stay. Such poor customer service from the outset was deeply disappointing and not reflective of a reputable establishment.

Adding to the frustration was the hotel's parking situation, which proved to be inadequate and poorly managed. The spaces were incredibly limited and cramped, making it a challenge to find a spot even during off-peak hours. For guests traveling with larger vehicles or arriving during peak times, this issue compounded the already stressful experience of staying at the hotel. It felt as though the hotel did not prioritize the convenience and comfort of its guests, as parking is a fundamental amenity that should be readily available...
