Located very close to the Jagganath temple main entrance, and around 2 kms from the sea beach, it's not in the category of luxury hotels. We couldn't find rooms in any hotel on the beach road, so we had no other option left but to book a room here. 1st thing i noticed is there is no name written on the constructed building. 2nd there is no backup power supply, so one has to face power cut if that occurs. 3rd there is no lift/elevator facility, and the staircase erected is a makeshift type. 4th everytime we came back to our room, we had to go to the reception and request them to start the AC supply. 5th gyser was all along not operational, but that was not much of an issue due to ongoing hot weather. 6th construction is in progress on the entrance road of this hotel. So my impression is it can be called as a guest house or home, rather than a hotel. Otherwise the staffs are polite, helpful and responsive. I paid 1800/- per AC room, but that is a bit expensive keeping in view the amenities...
Read moreI am SHOCKED how this hotel could fetch such a high rating. I travelled with my family and aged parents-----for us it was a horrible experience. The hotel is located in one of the filthiest bylanes of the city close to the Jagannath temple. The hotel/lodge is shabby and filthy. The manager is a big crook who charged us Rs.1400 per night per room for rooms that would not be more than Rs.300 per night at the most. The groundfloor rooms were dark, dingy, smelly and unclean. No room service available, no toiletries, broken toilet seat, Even NO CURTAINS, and NO HOT WATER available. Leave alone free breakfast even tea was not served to us. We somehow spent a night in the lodge and checked out early next morning. This place is nothing less than HELL so my advice to fellow travellers--STRICTLY...
