The rooms were good and the room service was prompt. There is construction going on right now (Feb 2024) and thus there was constant drilling noise in my room on the third floor. When I called reception to ask them to make it stop, they said they'll ask but the drilling never stopped. Even though the hotel looks fancy, the people of Orissa are quite simple and sometimes unprofessional. Not in the sense of being rude but rather not properly answering questions. For example the first question I asked was the wifi password cause I wanted to see a football match while waiting for the keys. They gave me a code which didn't work. So I asked them and they said it'll work in the room. I asked them that I want a code which works here. They kept on repeating the same thing instead of refusing that they're not allowed to give a code for the same. Then I asked them what was written on the wifi code slip which said "Limited connection 100" Instead of answering, they waited for 2 mins talking to each other and returning me the slip without saying anything. When I asked them to speak they said it'll work. Basically they won't admit when they don't know the answer.
The location is right in front of the beach which means there is a road in front and then the beach starts. This road is extremely noisy and crowded specially during the evening. Thus if you want a pleasant chill experience then I recommend booking a hotel a bit further on the marine drive road. We went to bath near the beach of Taj and it was very nice there. Victoria is 2km from the Jagganath temple. In case you're coming by car then take the Grand road to Jagganath temple which is around the main city so that you reach vallabhai parking. Take off your shoes and phone in the car and walk till the temple. If you don't want a line for the temple then go at 10pm. The temple is open till late night (around 1am from what I heard). Near Victoria, Bhojohori Manna is amazing for Bengali cuisine, in the evening if you walk a bit to the right from the entrance of Victoria, there's a guy frying fresh sea food which you can pick and choose. We asked him to fry it in less batter and salt. We asked him to fry it for. Lesser duration so that the food wasn't overcooked. The star of the show was the medium sized prawns. Our family of four had 30 of them in one go. Highly recommend. Also, visit the MG park nearby. Beautiful gate and park. In case you're going back to Bhubaneswar, do spend time at the village Raghurajpur which is famous for its art. Near the village visit the restaurant for amazing Odia vegetarian food. The Chhenapoda here was the best we had in Orissa. Not too sweet, very spongy...

Read moreGreat room view available. All rooms are ac only. Room range 3500rs to 10,000rs. To get a good view like mine, you have to pay at least 5000rs / day. Prime location hotel. Very friendly panda for temple visit present. Travel desk people are good. They provide you good sight seeing options, though price are bit extra than outside. They provide 3 free water bottle of 500ml, unlimited tea & coffe maker set everyday. Every day they clean room & bathroom & changed everything. Staff are damn good, so kid friendly. You just ask them they will make it happen with smile. Food is very good, I bet you will not go anywhere once you start eating here. Not a single day your stomach will get upset. But prices are very high though compare to outside. I always order in room service. No extra charge taken. They are damn punctual. For smaller kids they can cook khichdi for you if you bring your own cooker, rice , vegs & dals. Or else they can prepare soft boiled rice & other staff that you ask for kids. Though they are chargeble basis. One portion can catter 2 person easily if you are average eater. Overall very nice place to stay. Once you stay definitely you will choose them only. But again you definitely have to think of prices as they are not for low budget people. I personally impressed by them. 3person average food cost will be 1800rs / day if you are a average eater. Rooms 3 bed side sea facing with balcony 5000rs / day. Now plan as per you convince. To check their rooms go to their website & check 360view option. Rooms are exactly same as viewed on their web site. You have book in advance via website & full pay in advance...
