Hotel Florence Continental — Hotel in Rajasthan

I booked this hotel for 3d/2n; a family triple room with breakfast through goibibo. ||The moment I stepped in this hotel, I was disappointed because they had no parking.||I was told to park my car on the road which was a busy vehicular road especially peak hours. I booked this hotel since parking was mentioned in the amenities list. The hotel did not give any assistance at all in parking my vehicle. The staff at the reception was of no help and not co-operative at all.||The room is big. There were small cockroaches and insects in the room. The bathroom was stained and not at all clean. Hot water in bathroom is on request. The AC was working but the remote wasn't. For room service or enquiry/complaints, we need to call the reception every now and then, which was disgusting and futile and time consuming because we had to follow up constantly to remind the reception for the same.||The breakfast offered on the first day was a buffet with few options (poha, potato vada , bread butter / jam, tea, coffee) and not that tasty; so, we skipped the second day breakfast and checked out early morning and had our breakfast from outside. My car was scratched and damaged a little bit from behind because of parking on the road and when informed to the hotel, the hotel neither paid any heed to it nor they had the courtesy to check my car.||There was a major issue of a gap in the bathroom exhaust fan through which it was visible to the adjacent hotel. The matter was put up to the hotel and also to goibibo and they got it fixed understanding the severity of the consequences of the problem but we had to face lot of inconvenience due to the repairing work because we had come to udaipur for sightseeing and leisure time but this hotel made our trip very much miserable and disppointing. Very disappointed by the staff. We booked 3 rooms. We Continuously said for AC start and AC remote to staff and in reception. But they did not take it seriously. We struggle fully with it that night. I can’t able to connect with Goibibo due to Network Connection. If able to connect with GoIblibo then I complete it immediately. They don’t give Wifi passwords. After calling 3-4 calls. They given the Proper password. But Very low internet connectivity. We were there with Family. A staff person is going in the basement with a drink bottle. No Proper Toiletries. No Hot water coming in the Evening and Night. Only Happy with Bath Tub and Overall Hotel look. At Night light was gone. It was around 1:30 A.M. And there is no backup option till half hour. As per family vision won't ever recommend you this hotel. Service is not acceptable as per the comparison of money. Even I am not happy with Goibibo also. Because They don’t check service. Pros Situated in the main city near to vintage car museum, city palace, lake

Food - quality good ( for Buffett system - only bread jam and idly sambhar was available on that day - in which guests complaint that when jam was available bread not and when bread, jam not)

Cons Rooms - very compact in size and dusty, walls seem to be painted a decade ago (online pics are refined version of rooms actual pics)

TV remote not working

Smells in room (same complaint by other guest)

Dirty and smelly bed sheets (tea marks/ blood marks- god knows)

Toilet tap leakage

Some lights working some not

Papdi on room walls

Hot water issue- sometimes water come sometimes not, sometimes it is hot sometimes it is normal
