My review is for GUJARATI TRAVELERS. Its kind of famous in that area. Located in city area so if you are thinking of going there in car then let me inform you, only two cars can be park on road side, infront of this restaurant. Family table is also available there and individual tables too. Now if we come to taste of their main item (daal bati), as an Gujarati tourist i felt like i have tried more tasty daal bati at many places in Gujarat. More tastier than Santosh daal bati restaurant. Spacialy taste of ghee. I didn't get much taste and smell of ghee which i had in my dish. Your opinion and taste can be different but this is what i felt. Their taste is average for me. Price was decent. 120 ₹ for unlimited thali. They have multiple items in unlimited thali. Including two types of daal. One for bati and one for rice. Hygiene was maintained. Clean table, clean plates and glasses. Service was also decent just like every other average local restaurants. Workers and owner behaviour was good. They have modes of online payment also available like Paytm...
Read moreBelow average food and ambience. I heard about this place from a friend and also through YouTube. But I am so much disappointed with this place. They are famous for Daal-Baati thali and Deluxe thali. We ordered the same. But I must say they should also taste their food once. Taste of food is not even average. Bati's were not even baked with moyan(ghee) and Churma was also not made fresh, it was pre- prepared, not at all hot and not even served with dry fruits and ghee. Sweetness of Churma was also not as per taste. Lehsan chatni served in this thali was also over cooked, almost burnt and not at all good in taste. Deluxe thali was also below average. It had paneer, mix veg, daal, raita. All were not tasty at all and raita was also too much sour in taste. Also, buttermilk served with Daal-Baati had only water in it. Price wise, it costed us 160/- (Daal-Baati thali) and 230/- (deluxe thali). Not at all...
Read moreThe food is not worthy. Went there after hearing recommendations from our hotel owner. But none of us liked the food. We ordered several dishes, I didn’t like even one. Dal Bati Churma was worst. They were very reluctant to serve extra rice even after promising unlimited food. Cheese balls did not have cheese inside. Vanilla and butter scotch icecream shakes were more like ice cream blended with water. The service was very very slow. We saw them purchasing and bringing ingredients after we placed the order. They kept them waiting for a long time telling the food will arrive now, when they did not have even ingredients in the first place. I do not recommend this place. Udaipur has many good restaurants and cafes. Avoid this one at any cost. Dal bati we had from a street shop the next day was far better than what we got...
