Scoring 4.9 rating in 2000+ reviews. How the hell is it possible. Must be fake or paid reviews. Got to be. Well.... They aren't. Read the full story if u got time else just book their super deluxe room blindly. Make sure to read the last line for nitpicking in the room if u want to.
Here's the long story How can a hotel located at the outer of the city get such crazy rating despite not even offering a rooftop view of the fort - the one thing every hotel in Jaisalmer offers! Doesn't look that luxurious also. Neither is it priced like one! These were my thoughts while researching a good hotel in Jaisalmer for stay on 3&4dec 2024. I went digging through reviews to find out whether they were fake or real... Reviews seemed genuine. Even the people who reviewed seemed real customers. I went ahead n booked the room for two nights. On arrival, it's located in a sad looking street near the outskirts in residential area. A little unnerving. But as soon as I entered the hotel, all my apprehensions just flew away. I got very warm welcome, I was shown two rooms to choose from since all rooms have different color scheme and I chose the one to my taste. I was asked tea, coffee or water as you must be tired from your journey. They also told that tea, coffee be it hot or cold and water are complementary throughout ur stay. Have as much as u want as many times as u want. This was shocking, who does this these days. The cold coffee (complementary) was really tasty. The central lobby of the hotel is so photogenic, u just can't get enough of it. I could sit there for hours if I had the time. Coming to the room - it felt like a luxury hotel room from a luxury reputed chain. Massive in size (looks smaller in official images), with clean linen and almost every amnety u would want. It had the traditional rajasthani window sitting which i just loved. U can sit there for hours reading a book or just doing nothing. The washroom was big with white marble on the floor which was spotless as if urging u to walk barefoot. Working geyser and shower with even an antislip mat in the shower area! Impressive attention to detail... Here comes another surprise - the ROOFTOP restaurant... Doesn't offer any amazing views but once u reach there, u don't need one. The sitting itself is so good and the vibe is just amazing. See images for urself. We sat there for 4 hours till their closing time! One of the guests in the hotel had his birthday the same day, hotel got them a surprise birthday cake and celebrated his birthday! And that too a delicious cake not just a timepass one just for the sake of it! WHO DOES THIS THESE DAYS... Simply mind-blowing. They won't say no to anything u ask them, want ur own booze, yes, want ur own cold drink to add to it, yes! You want to leave early before restaurant opens, we'll open it early for u! Omg! All this you might expect in a full on luxury property but offering so much at such affordable price! Hats off to the management.
Here's some nitpicking as a constructive feedback for the management. Very limited restaurant menu especially for snacks, no tandoori items available although whatever is there is tasty. Toiletries are straight up bad.... Suddenly drops down the heightened luxury experience that the hotel has been providing with everything else. Certainly no guest would mind paying that bit extra especially for the super deluxe rooms. Lighting inside the room can be slightly brighter.... Felt bit too dark. Mind you, all this is when comparing this room with a room twice as costly as theirs. At this price, the stay is a total steal! Phew... Haven't written such detailed review ever but this hotel...
Read moreIf honest hospitality is real, experience it in this hotel. For the people who wants a short read, just wish to say, the 4.9 rating here with 1800+ reviews is a real thing. They actually are this good. Go ahead and book blind folded, they will ensure you have nice & comfortable stay.
Now for the ones who wants to read in detail of my personal experience: Ultra long weekend of August (16th August 2024 declared as the national Sick Leave day in 2024 :D ), we dared to plan for Rajasthan (Pure Off season), but worth a try. I was travelling with my Wife & 2 Small Kids (7 yrs & 3 Yrs) Jodhpur-Jaisalmer-Bikaner Plan for Jaisalmer was of 2 Nights 3 Days. Started searching for Hotels and landed on this Hotel with 4.9 rating with over 1800 reviews. Damn, how can a Hotel be so good, definitely had to be fake reviews (My first thought). But believe me everyone, they actually are true to its words. I don't think any of the review written on Google or any other platform is fake. As my train got late, I checked in at 2am in the night instead of the planned 11pm. They had an auto waiting for me at the Station (Chargeable), my room was ready, my food was served (as hot as it could have been, considering the fact that the restaurant closes at 11pm). My request for extra blanket was catered at 2am. Next morning, we sat down and chatted about my local sight seeing, camel safari in the dunes, next day visit to longewaala war memorial, Zero Border, Tanot Mata Mandir. Unbelievable Costing. I am not sure if I could have got a better deal outside as well or may be I could have saved a thousand bucks, but please understand, even if he charged something extra (believe me, I don't think so), that is something we all can afford to get the hassle free service that you are getting. Believe me, I had to do nothing, think of nothing and just enjoyed my holiday without worrying for what next, where is the cab, where he parked, no negotiations anywhere. Wherever I went, everything was ready for us (I could really spend more money to get that kind of service).. I had clear instructions, I should not be asked for money anywhere and he ensured that. Even my cab driver called for money to the front desk to fuel up his car and didn't ask for money from me. Denied when offered. The breakfast was included, Roshan was at your service to attend & cater to any of your requirement. He will assist customizing the available options for breakfast for your kids. Went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and serve us with what we chose from the options available. Food was really really good & best part of it was freshly prepared (Be it Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner). Daud & Mushtaq on the frontdesk will go extra mile to ensure each and everything that you require are catered to. Call Daud and just tell your requirement, he will arrange it. Daud, such an honest individual, the Camel guy (at the safari) charged us some money, we paid after a bit of confrontation, but Daud waived it off from the overall package cost. All in All a great experience. Very Nice Big & Spacious rooms. Neat & Clean property. Big Washroom as well (I stayed in room no. 103) Very polite & helpful staff. And they are deserving recipients' of each & every star given to them.. Kudos. Keep up the good work. Thanks for a...
Read moreWe spent 5 weeks in India staying in everything from five star to traditional accommodation, and this was one of of our favourite experiences evoking many good memories. The haveli is a thoughtful and beautiful decorated oasis of tranquility and relaxation, complemented by friendly and professional staff who genuinely wish only to please their guests. Dil ji (part-owner and manager) is an exemplar of this service. He effortless organised for us amongst other things, the shipping back home of a parcel of Indian textiles, a beard trim for my friends, reasonably priced transport from our next hotel into Delhi, and a scrumptious packed dinner for our adventure on an overnight Indian mail train. However, what I was most grateful for was his generous sharing of his philosophy of life, spirituality and meditation techniques. Roshan the masseur is another gem who provided us with a number of excellent massages. He is one of those rare masseurs who have an intuitive feel for what the client needs and is genuinely intent on providing the best massage for each individual client. We enjoyed the food so much we didn't bother going out of the hotel for two and half days, but ate on the rooftop terrace entranced by the view of the magical Jaisalmer fort in the ever changing light conditions. Lastly, it was great value for money, even if we hadn't been upgraded to one of their beautiful, comfortable and spacious suites with again that mesmerising view...
